I've always enjoyed listening to the games he calls...plus his football game is awesome!

It'll be interesting to see who they pair Al Michaels up with now on Sunday night.
NBC has got to be feeling like they got a raw deal!
How 'bout Michaels and Cowher? I'd dig that.

No that would have been Tony Kornheiser retiring because of Farve...

Funny, I actually like Chris, very knowledgable (sp)... I think Buck would've been a better pick but let's not try to compare anyone to Madden.

Hey, now that Madden retired, Snyder and Al Davis will be fighting one another to get him to coach their teams!

Man I tell you that I came home and turned on NFL live and saw that Madden retired and I was shocked. This came out of nowhere. A sad day indeed. I loved Madden and he will certainly be missed. It won't be the same without him. And why would you replace Madden with Chris Collingsworth? Chris is terrible.

Well truth be told I'd prefer silence. . .but if I had to pick I think just about every other commentator (aside, MAYBE, from Collinsworth) would be preferable.
When Troy Aikman first hit the scene I really liked his color work. I think over the past few years Buck has been corrupting him, because I really don't like watching a game that they are calling nowadays. However, maybe putting Aikman with Michaels would make a tolerable duo. (Although I've always disliked Michaels, too.)

I still miss Summerall. Now we're losing Madden

I'm glad Madden is gone! He was the very best in the early 90's, but (no pun intended) has sucked ever since he fell in love with the 90's CGirls team and felt that he was required to circle the sweat on Nate Newtons backside every chance he got.
What sicken me even more was the fact that he would never watch the replay. He would talk about how he though the play went and then when the replay showed that he was completely wrong he would keep talking about how the play didn't go. He would never admit that he was wrong, because he never knew. Summeral started calling him on it in Pat's last year and see where it got him.
Al Michaels never had the sack to call him on it either.
Glad he is gone, but Chris

Collinworthless is even worse. What a pomp-ass, pencil necked geek. I can't think of any crew I like. Maybe the one Moose is on or the current MNF crew. Heck, I would rather have had Joey T than Chris Collinsworthless!

We are at a loss for a solid booth team. Most of the ones on FOX stink. We're an NFC team, so I don't know much about the CBS crew. NBC has Michaels and Collinsworth, and no good can come of that. And the current MNF booth...well, I won't get into that. It's a shame, but that's the way of the world.

I like the Buck-Aikman duo on FOX but I don't think they should be able to do Cowboys games (which they mostly do) because Aikman does show his bias too much sometimes, especially against the 'Skins
