Thomas should bring nice depth to the LB corps. Solid signing.
He was good on Madden hahahacrazyhorse1 wrote:SkinsSince96 wrote:Kinda weird they say he signed April 2nd yet I cant find any news on this from any site including Redskins.com.

How is a guy who has a career of a little over 40 tackles a year, two tackles last year, and a busted knee cap this year a solid signing? Thomas was a first round bust seven years ago and is much worse now. This is not a move of any consequence at all.

Probably because besides Fletcher our LBs suck. Bringing in Robert Thomas and giving him a shot to compete for a roster spot is a solid move. If it doesnt work out we cut him and theres no harm done.
I never have a problem with bringing in players who have experience and can at the very least compete in training camp and make our team better.

FUTURE potential degenerative knee problems cannot be used in determining CURRENT performance analysis because that hasn't been a factor. You can't say someone sucks based on a hypothetical future that isn't guaranteed to happen.

Blades, for a late round guy, has played admirably. No, we don't have 3 Lewis, Brooks, original LT, (insert whatever LB you idolize), but our LB corps wasn't bad.

Well considering that we don't currently have a starter at the SAM position I would say that linebacker is at the very least a question mark. Rocky is very solid, but can be inconsistent at times. He really struggled at the end of last season.

I agree. This kind of like the signing of Schweigert last year. Thomas is probably more of a special teams hopeful. He kind of reminds me of Blades to be honest, although Blades is a cut above, IMO.
