Great for Horton. Hey Horton...can you take us all (THN fans) out for steak dinner???

Redskins safety Chris Horton has earned $342,197 in additional pay, thanks to the NFL's performance-based pay system. Horton's payday is the third-highest in the league, behind Chargers tackle Jeromey Clarey ($405,859) and Cardinals center Lyle Sendlein $348,134). Performance-based pay goes to players at the lower end of the pay scale, guys whose playing time is out of proportion to their pay.

That is a nice little/big check for Horton. That sure as heck would put a big smile on my face.

Good job! Now he needs to front up again next season - performance pay is a much better way of rewarding players than all this up front money that is thrown around in the league.
