6 LBs on the current Roster.....

And then there were 6....linebackers, that is.
Fincher’s signing gives the Redskins six linebackers on the roster.
London Fletcher and Rocky McIntosh return as starters and H.B. Blades is in line to compete for a starting job at strong-side linebacker.
Matt Sinclair and Tyson Smith are also on the roster.
I thought Sinclair was pretty tough..... He needs to push for an active roster spot....

I'm a Fincher supporter. He's not all-star, but he was solid when they called his number.

we still need lots of help there. who is going to start on the strongside, fletcher is very good still, but getting old and macintosh is up and down all season, i would like for us to draft one of the top four backers that will be available....

I'd rather have an immediate impact RT than a SLB.

How are the Skins' going to come up with the 2nd round draft pick? Trading down in the 1st?

I don't think anybody in the league looks at that group of LBs and gets nervous... London is a tackling machine, but there's not a big hitter in the bunch..i think by the end of the year we'll be looking back at the LBs as our weekest link (Hopefully it's not JC)... seems like evry other team has a stud LB/DE we have to worry about/game plan for... I do think Albert will make up for some of that and make our LBs look a little better...

Fincher looked great in the pre-season last year. I'm happy to have him back.

I agree, his energy and fly to the ball attitude was awesome; he's the type of player you just love watching.

Not a Lb move, but Reed Doughty just re-signed for some DB depth.

TRADE OUT OF 13 AND PICK UP LATER PICKS TO GET THE IMPACT RT AND THAN A SLB IN A SECOND WE PICK UP
saw the guy in nfl network has us taking cushing at 13

you guys are all kidding yourselves with this mindless off season delusion....our linebackers are awful.......top to bottom......weakest set of LBs in our division for shore.....we need to draft LB at 13 cuz these jokers suck, would be lucky to start for other teams

Great. For the 10th year in a row, we don't have a legitimate pass rushing threat either at LB or DE. We're the only team in football that would pay $100M for a difference making DT and actually get worse on the defensive line.
Why can't we figure this out? Get to the quarterback and protect the quarterback, that will make you a consistent playoff team every year.

We're strong at corner
Strong at DT
weak at DE
thin at LB
thin at Safety
We can't draft for all the above because top priority is OT and likely 2nd RB.
that will leave 4 picks for 5 positions of need.
DE, LB, S, OT, RB
Right now I know OT is safe but C.Wells Ohio State would likely score us alot of touchdowns even if it were behind jansen.
How will cerrato draft?

I'm hoping we land Beanie Wells in the 2nd round
Interesting... though I'm pretty sure you actually have to have a second round pick in order to make a selection during the second round...

I know... just poking... I was serious about finding the thought of Beanie Wells interesting...
The problem is, I don't know if we can afford to pass up an OT unless we have picks in the 2nd.

Buckeye fan/ country here...Beanie is GREAT, but I don't know about his heart. I'm not sure if he was playing not to get hurt or what, but he sure seemed to duck out of bounds a lot rather than fight for that extra two yards last year. Don't get me wrong, he'll either run over you or by you, he's that good. I just don't think he should be a thought at #13 when our OLine is so bad.
