I'll never understand people like this; they have the world handed to them and they find some way to screw it up.

I know. It's pathetic that they make millions of dollars and find a way to screw up a pretty easy life.

It is precisely BECAUSE they have had everything handed to them that they screw up. They've never been taught personal responsibility.

I just want to ask a question here. This may sound stupid but Matt Jones just had a couple of beers why is drinking beer on his probation if what got him on probation was drugs?

According to this, he tested positive for having alcohol in his system during a test that he agreed to take in the plea agreement. And why would he get arrested for drinking when he was on probation for drugs? Probably because if he was drinking that could lead to drugs, and the judge probably made that clear that he couldnt do drugs or alcohol.

I can see how hte judge would say no alcohol or drugs, but to say that drinking leads to drugs is simply nonsense.

Just a guess. There has got to be a reason the judge said no alcohol

Alcohol is considered a dru; a social one, but a drug never the less.

It alters your behavior, so the judge probably took that into account.

As an individual who has built two clinical programs for the treatment of addictions, I can tell you that it is not nonsense. Many addictions are closely related, and failure to address that from the bench gives the defendant lots of quibble room. Addicts all deal with an inability to enfoce a decision to stop using, and it doesn't so much matter whether it is your substance of choice or not. So, the judge says, "it just doesn't matter what the intoxicant is". In other words, "when I say no use, I mean NO use." The judge is clearly concerned that Matt's judgement is that of an adolescent. Good call by the judge.

1. It was the day before he met with his probation officer or something.

2. Remember he is from Northwest Arkansas, like myself. Very conservative area. Also, remember, the police officer had to pull a gun to get him out of his car when he was originally arrested... The tolerance level is low.

I'd take a chance on him. Why not? What's it going to hurt? It's not like our WR situation is locked down anyone.

Haynesworth is about to go to jail too. lol Might as well send him some company.

What's it going to hurt? Hasn't the Comish pretty much stated that he will not only hold wayward players accountable, but also teams that knowingly bring such players on?

He sounds like a future Dallas Cowboy, to me.

Not just no, hell no. Dude is a crack head, drinks like a horse, and is the most self absorbed human being I have ever seen. A real POS, in my book. And if you doubt me, remember he went to high school about three minutes from my house and I know his parents. I have some stories on him. Don't want him here.

Gotta go with the neighbor here, boys. I'm off the Matt Jones bandwagon afore I hardly get on.
