I just had a crazy thought. Do you think that all of the NFL teams will let T.O. sit there on the free agent market and go on with the season as if he doesn't exist. It makes me think of how Barry Bonds was treated last winter in off-season. I think that the "collusion" could happen again. This has nothing to do with steroids, so this comparison basically is based on how T.O. has treated his teammates. If there has already been like 8-10 teams that have come out and said that they didn't want him. Even "the always rumored to be after the big names" Redskins came out and said NO!. I think he'll probably sign with someone like the Raiders, but I just thought it was something to talk to ya'll about.

You know I’ve been thinking about that…under what circumstances would you sign T.O.??
Vet min with invectives is obvious…can a NFL team out a gag order on a player to not be allow to talk with the media??

T.O. could retire on Jerry Jones' dime right now

The most interesting comment came from an executive who compared T.O. to Barry Bonds, saying that no one in the league wants a jerk, so "he could wind up sitting out the same way Barry did."

The most positive of all the responses was "I highly doubt it." It's clear that T.O. will not receive immediate interest, but the situation is fluid.

I never said anyone owed him anything.

But, why is it when people speak about him. They do so with such hate. I bet that the very thought of T.O. brings up anger within you.
I cannot see how a player who has just voiced his opinion over the years. All while excelling at his job. Has been hated so much?

So all I ask is why such anger? Where is this coming from? I just want to understand the mind set. How can a human being who has done no crime to humanity bring such hate out of people?

He has severely damaged 2 teams, and was well on his way to his third when (unfortunatley) Jerruh wised up.

People don't mind players who voice their opinion in general, but most people don't appreciate people whose opinions are voiced specifically to be destructive to the team.

I don't like TO b/c he played on a rival team. I also don't like TO, as previously mentioned, b/c he's an incredible talent, but he's also a cancer off the field. His attitude is counterproductive to team cohesion unless he's getting his way. He's a spoiled brat, basically. That's why I don't like him. I can still respect his talent, but as a person and a teammate possibly on the skins, I don't like him (I know what the reports say,but anything's possible, so don't even bother commenting on TO being on the skins).

His arrogance is mostly what made me start disliking him so much. (Same with any arrogant player.)

Oh poor T.O., maybe he should call a press conference to complain about how poorly the media is treating him.

He's no martyr, he brought the "unwelcome" spotlight on himself. If you are going to be vocal in the media, and self promoting, than it almost goes without saying that the media will do everything in their power to milk you for all you're worth.

Sure he's no Pac-Man, or Tank Johnson, or Micheal Vick, or Bill Romanowski, or Sean Avery, or Ricky Williams, or Plaxico Burris, but he's a different kind of bad example...

He's a poor sport. He puts himeself over all others including his own teammates. If he fails he needs someone else to blame.

In San Fran it was Jeff Garcia, in Philly it was Donovan McNabb, in Dallas it was Tony Romo if he went to New England it would be Tom Brady if he went to Indy it would be Peyton Manning.

Sometimes you just have to realize that when the same thing goes wrong everywhere you go...maybe it's not them, maybe it's you. T.O. will NEVER learn that.

I hope so. That would be such a great hit to his ego or maybe not; he cant do wrong in his eyes. If he does sign anywhere it will be in the AFC because according to Mort none of the NFC wants him. So it seems, if this report is true, that half the league is already giving him the Bonds treatment.

In my opinion T.O. was treated unfairly here in Philadelphia. His contract was a bad one and he wanted the team to guarantee the third year after he broke his leg but came back and almost won them the Super Bowl. McNabb and Westbrook and the other spineless me guys on the Eagles threw him under the bus because the fans loved him more and he is an arrogant S.O.B.

That said, the media and the team crucified him unfairly and the the team suffered after he left - in fact each of the teams he has left has been worse after he is gone.

I don't know the details of Dallas because thankfully I don't live there and certainly don't care about them.

After thinking about this hard and long, I still don't want the guy on the Redskins but someone should sign him. He is not Barry Bonds who cheated his sport out of its most prized records and was a jerk along the way. T.O. is just a disturbed, highly talented player who probably does not mean any harm.

What about Rand Moss? Randy Moss has admitted that he takes plays off. He assaulted a FEMALE OFFICER, he admits to smoking marijuana, he QUIT on his team. When the Vikings had just tied the scored against our team the Redskins and was decided that the game was going into overtime Randy Moss was seen leaving the field and went into the locker room and NEVER came back to try and help his team win the game. He QUIT y'all. How come nobody talks about that? But my God if TO did that it would have been all over the news in every morning paper. I'm tired of TO getting crucified, when players all over in the NFL are doing worse stuff then what he has done.

Why can't the media just let TO be? Because he CONSTANTLY invites them into his life. He seeks and does things to be in the spotlight. Remember crunches in the driveway? Or That's my Quarterback? Or "I didn't try to commit suicide?" etc., etc., etc., ad nauseum.

And when you constantly seek out the spotlight, you should be prepared to have the spotlight bring out the good...and the bad.

It's classic attention seeking behavior.
