DeAngelo Hall Agress To Terms/Canty Could Be Here Friday
The CB has agreed to a deal worth a maximum of $55 million over 6 years, according to league sources. He will receive roughly $23 million guaranteed. Huge deal for Hall. We shall see what it means for Shawn Springs and Carlos Rogers.
Will have an update on DE Chris Canty later tonight. Skins could have him here in the AM.

I think he's gonna be a good addition back there... He showed in a short time that he can adapt pretty well.

maybe this along with the unexpected availability of Dockery will make Haynesworth unobtainable?

thats what I'm hoping. I think we will be able to get Canty too and that should mean that Taylor will be out.

If you cut Taylor......HAYNESWORTH-THE MONEY

I'm guessing this means no haynesworth.
I don't understand why its ok to give Hall 54 mil when we have depth at cb
but no depth at DT and no one wants the best in the game.

don't think they will cut Taylor. it would make us look too stupid. I hope we keep him anyway. He's healthy and his contract doesn't cripple our future at all.
now let's focus on the O-line Vinny!! look away from the soon to be overweight DT.

because Haynesworth may cost almost twice as much, while his career will likely last half as long.

the draft is deep with D tackles. Haynesworth has only been productive for 2 seasons, both of which were contract years.
Also, he has never played in all 16 games. He is known for having a lack of drive, attitude issues, etc.
I hope they feel that they can add depth through the draft since the draft is so deep for both sides of the line.

You could argue that he has gotten that much better the past two years, and he has matured and developed his game to this level and the yea we can draft an unproven rookie who has not every played in the NFL Who could also end up never playing all 16 games. They are both risks and 92 is more expensive but we have capoloigists and has it ever been a problem that over paying a guy has kept us from being better(barring trading then paying) .....HAYNESWORTH PAY THE MAN!!!
( I will challenge every Haynesworth argument as I have gone crazy and joined the Dark Side...join me!)

Stubblefield, I mean Haynesworth doesn't even play all the defensive snaps of his 12 games a season. Usually only plays about 2/3 of the snaps. For 110MIL? If he couldn't play more than about 12 games a season at age 23-27, how many games do you think he'll play at 26-32?
I'm happy we kept D. Hall. We needed a lock down corner. You know if the Patriots were after him that he's worth the money.

I think Smoot may be gone. Don't think Springs is going anywhere. But you never know.

Hayneworth will actually be 28 when the season starts.
This was a huge amount to pay for Hall, who has had some character concerns of his own. I had hoped he would come a little cheaper. this deal is only slightly smaller than the 7 year 70 mill (24 guaranteed) that he signed with Oakland last year.

Stubblefield is such a dumb argument. So you are telling me that Albert Haynesworth is Dana Stubblefield? I didnt know they were the same guy? Hmmm..thas a mystery. Stubby was on roids and his body started to shut down this guy is clean, beast, and nasty. You can try to compare two different players but it makes no sense .Guess what they are not the same guy!! And yes you pay him 100 million for 13 games because I bet you we get 20 more sacks during those 13 games then we did all of last season. Not to mention the turnovers from the pressure and sacks those create in those 13 games. I will take it!! AND THE POINTS WE GET OFF TURNOVERS!! Oh yea and Canty is going to add to a line that let Barber run 7 minutes off the clock to beat us the second time around. HAYENSWORTH!!!!

I can imagine that the Dark Side is less stressful. Every year I have to sit here using the force while hoping that some other team saves us from ourselves.
We will now focus on the Offensive line. (Jedi mind trick)

Glad to have Hall back but I'm not sure if he's worth that amount of money. $22.5 in guaranteed money is an awful lot for a guy that only played well for us for half a season.

true dat. but that half season was a much better audition than we usually get before we start showing the money. we know how he fits in our D at least. no worries that he ruins our chemistry.

I shall do no such thing. The Dark Side is powerful and The Emperor(Danny boy) and Vader (Vinny "The Italian Tumor" Cerrato) Will run the Redskins universe forever.....Yes it is less stressful because I know I will have no impact on there decision so I have decided to agree and join. I am like the young apprentice that will never get the job because they dont know about me......yet..

Not yet..it is new and unknown people are afraid of its power...and think its early failures are due to execution when it was due to lackluster pieces...it is coming, join or be left behind with the whiners and losers who will pine for drafts and cheap prospects hoping to be from the Colt or Steeleric galxies you. Well you are not and get used to it!
