ESPN in its latest mock draft has the 'Skins getting Winslow. However, they said that we also could get Taylor (I think we already knew this). I would like either one and both would be immediate impacts, but think about the offense if we did get Winslow (even though we already have Rasby and have said that we won't cut Chamberlain)
QB-Brunell
RB-Portis
FB-Johnson/Cartwright
WR-Coles
WR-Gardner
TE-Winslow
That's scary!
ESPN also said that Daryl Gardener is about to be released. I loved him as a 'Skin and I hope we pick him back up.
Give me your thoughts!

I would explore your options to trade down.

I think our offense is already going to be scary. Skins should draft D. Either Taylor or trade down for more picks and a DL. We'll need the extra help without Champ to lock down a side of the field.

Keep the 5th pick overall, and trade NEXT year's #1 which will be, at worst, in the high 20's for picks this year...

Your potential offensive lineup needs a couple of small revisions. First, Cartwright and Johnson won't be needed since the one-back offense doesn't employ a fullback. Secondly, Winslow wouldn't be the tight end. Rasby would. Winslow would play H-back, which replaces the fullback.
Don't feel too bad. A lot of people too young to remember how the one-back system works are making the same mistake.

that's interesting about daryl gardner

...that guys is a MONSTER when he's healthy but that's usually the problem, he's had a history of injuries. but for the right price i would love to have him a redskin again. with griffin and gardner on the inside NOONE would be running through the middle of the skins D.

I think that's what they're doing, despite what the Times said(and what I wanted to hear) that the Skins might just use the first rounder on Taylor and worry about the rest later. I hope they get Taylor but I don't think the team will just settle for one pick.

Its a better option for you to improve your team as whole.

If only we could get D.Gardner back on the roster.
That would instatntly upgrade the entire D-line.
Remember LaVar had 11 1/2 sacks and Bruce Smith had 9 with Big Daryl causing chaos in the middle.

i really liked gardner. he was such a jackass in denver though. really makes you wonder how he would act. it would be a risk, but it might be worth it.

That's a great point. Hopefully we will get him and Wynn and Daniels will get more sacks. You know Lavar will with Williams defense having a lot of LB blitzes packaged into it. The same should go for Marcus Washington.
