Some Question Regarding Obama and the Inauguration

I know that a good number of the brethren here at Hogs.net are DC-area
residents. I know that a number of us are pretty good analysts and up-to-speed on what goes on over there in Washington.
Here are a few honest questions from a lower middle-class PA resident who's hoping for a few simple answers, if possible.

1.) Who paid for the five day inauguration?
2.) Are we celebrating a new presidency or a black presidency?
3.) Is it a double standard to announce and run colorless candidacy, asking voters not to cast their vote for the ethnicity/gender of the candidate, but on whether the voter believes the candidate has a snowballs chance of making a difference...and then have a five day, heavily themed blowout celebration when the "colorless"candidate wins?
4.) Can comparisions between Lincoln and Obama be valid before he serves a week in office?
5.) Have we, as a nation, condemned this man to death by electing him?

Mostly Tax dollars. I believe the whole celebration was in the neighborhood of 120 -150 million dollars. I have heard from numerous sources that about 50 million was in donations and contributions. The rest was paid for by the American people.

The economy is in the toilet and yet we spend 100 plus million on a party.

Now we now why he asked for "change" for two straight years. He couldn't possibly throw a party that big on his own dime.

I wish I could take credit for the joke. It was inspired by the following article: Click here, while you still have the freedom to do so.
