So Countertrey and SkinsJock
* have made it to the big game. The two of you need to PM me your picks and point totals some time this week. Once I have each of your picks, I will post them in this thread. In the unlikely event you both make the same picks and choose the same point total, the person who sent me the picks first, will get the option of:
1. Choosing to stand with their picks, and have the other hognosticator choose again.
2. Choose the over or under
3. Make new picks altogether
So it is beneficial to get your picks in as early as possible.
Here are the games:
Sunday, Jan. 18
PHI@ARI 3:00 PM
BAL@PIT 6:30 PM
All times Eastern
Good luck to you both, and may TRO
not pick you to win it all.

Is there any way to block someone from posting here?

What is wrong with an old and tried coin flip???

I'm trying to get them to pick the games earlier in the week, so we can all point and laugh. Besides, who get's to call it, and what is the outcome of winning the flip? Does that give them the title, or just the right to pick one of my three options?

The picks are in for HB IV!

Pittsburgh... well, they do seem to have the Crow's number...
72 Points.
And it all comes down to the AFC Championship game.

Good luck fellas. With the way this whole playoff series has gone, I wouldn't put it past Arizona to make the Superbowl.
To be honest, they are the team I would most like to see win it (since I have no real reason to hate them).

I think we can all agree that the Cards are the team to root for. Any franchise that gave us Dave Butz can't be all bad.

I also would really like to see the Cardinals playing in the Super Bowl but they would not have a prayer against either of these 2 AFC teams IMHO
I feel that the Eagles are just too tough on defense for Arizona and while the Steelers are the best defense in the NFL this year; the Ravens feel that they should have won that last game and I just love the way they hurt running backs and QBs - I almost changed this pick but am glad that we have a game that does not come down to an under/over pick like last year

RiC does NOT endorse -any- Hognosticator.
But SJ has been awful tough this season, ask me about it.

Darn TRO.
RiC does NOT endorse -any- Conference Championhsip Team to win either.
BUT I would love to see the Cards beat the crap out of Philthy and Pitt crush the Buzzards !!!
Just small biases, that's all ...

TRO refuses to endorse anyone who does not believe in Brother Kurt's abilities to not only get his team to Superbowls, but to win them (Take THAT McNabb), so he will
NOT endorse either of these Hognosticators.
That being said, I guarantee the Ravens will beat Pittsburgh.
So it looks like SkinsJock will be crowned HBIV Champion.
Congratulations, SkinsJock!!!

Outstanding. That was certainly a ringing "non" endorsement! Welcome to RiC's world, SJ!
What was that word that he kept using?

Since we're all chiming in here, with no offense to SkinsJock, I'm pulling for trey out of the DHC (seeing as how he knocked me out of the HB, and that's just how it's done).
Besides, I like SteelTown's chances this Sunday as well.
Good luck fellas.

What?
I did NOT endorse any Hognosticator and I WISH for the Cards to beat the crap out of Philthy.
I am not Hognosticating anything in either case.

I was referring to TRO's "non" endorsement of SJ... the "word" being "DOOMED". In other words... welcome to your world.

It was FFA/Irn-Bru's

Can I be domed instead? It's a little cold here, right now.

I have been out of touch for a few days - actually in Detroit - freezing cold!
I decided to "check in" and am resigned to my fate
I guess I can only hope that the kiss of death from TRO is not still in effect in 2009 but I sure don't like my chances on Sunday night's game after that fateful post
hey - I got lucky and then I had to go and spoil it all by getting in the same bracket with RiC and along comes Mr TRO - as in bad karma personified

You just simplified the featured dish at your coronation dinner: Crow. What an outstanding way to celebrate the Crows delivering your HB win. Glad I could help.

Coldest weather in Eastern Canada in a long time as well.
Should not be a problem in the NFC game ...
The AFC, on the other hand, ...

While the difference is small, I believe that Pittsburgh's offense suffers less in the cold than does the Ravens.
Bottom line is, this type of weather plays to the Defense. The offense that makes the fewest mistakes wins. I'm feeling ok about my chances.
