New Uniforms

Remember when Tampa switched it up and all of a sudden boom.
I think it's time for a redesign, not a novelty, not an anniversary, a redesign. Take a cue from Zorn and let's go Maroon and Black, with Gold Socks. The current uni is tired. Let's juice it up.

Why did I not think of this before???
We all know that the progress of a team can be directly attributed to the dress code and change in colors or uniforms and not the change in personnel, quality of play and work ethic.
Yeah, let's juice it up. Let's bring Austin Powers colours or hippie flowers. How about rappers black? It has been tried in Oakland, Jacksonville and Atlanta ... Opponents seem to be intimidated by the uniforms alone.
Versace would approve. Danny might too.

There's nothing more pathetic than an aging hipster.
<raises pinky to lips>
EDIT: RE the color change and the Bucs. I remember, I just wasn't aware that the new-look Pirates of Pewter Pants credit the new unis for their Super Bowl and other recent successes.
Huh. Go figure...

Here's a thought: Let's switch to burgundy and gold from burgundy and white.

Only useless expansion teams with no solid fan base or history redesign their uniforms. Don't cite the Patriots either because they had no fans until Tom Brady came to town.

The Skins have been through about 15 redesigns since they got to DC.

I still dig the throwback maroon uniforms with the spear on the helmet.
I honestly don't wear much Redskins gear because our colors suck. Who wants to walk around looking like Ronald McDonald?

The concept has remained the same...roll your eyes all you want.

I like the uniforms just the way they are. The Burgundy on Burgundy looked really good. I don't want black in the uniforms. It really doesn't matter what the uniform is like, it's the man wearing it that matters.

What about Denver?
They had a pretty cool uniform and Elway before their re-design?
Our unis are fine. The burgundy and gold combination is unique and looks good.

I like Denver's new unis much more. The orange looks so much better on a field of blue than it did alone or on a field of white.

Jersey's have nothing to do with performance but I would like to see a black jersey with red numbers and yellow outline and still with the red and yellow on the sleeve. I saw a Sean Taylor one that a guy was wearing at the game against the ravens. I loved it. They look great, a lot better than they sound. At least as alternatives.
They look like this but with different shades of red and yellow and their Redskins of course:

Whatever... It's well documented that cool unis make you faster.

Conversely, do hot unis make you slower?

Ahhhhh... I think you have discovered the Fashion-Thermal Paradox! I will call it the Dandy Don Meredith Paradox, because it can only be made to make sense when studied in the presence of Howard Cosell...

I LOVE the Skins uniforms.
When I was a little kid in NJ growing up, I started rooting for the Redskins almost exclusively because of the unis.
And let us remember what happened when they busted out the burgundy on burgundy scheme....

That has to be the ugliest thing I've ever seen.

They are nice with the skins colors on them and in person

That may have been MY problem. My HS coach used to say "ole Beaumarr (don't ask me why he called me that) ain't slow -- he just runs too long in one spot."
Loved that old Okie...
