What is the word on Deon Grant..At first i thought he was at the top of our list now i havent seen his name anywhere for the last 4 days.Boy that 5 pick is going to be interesting if we dont sign Grant. I know that trading down looks obvious but if Taylor falls to 5 i cant see us passing up on possibly the best player in draft.

I like Taylor. Haven't heard Grant but I think he's good enough that if we signed Grant and drafted a good DE/DT that would be better for our team than just Taylor.

True cjpck... I think that we are going to trade down at this point, as was mentioned in a recent article. Gibbs was saying that he had already been looking at doing that since well before FA started.
That is why I think they were talking Grant - they knew we wouldn't be in a position to sign Taylor.

Cleveland Browns: Defensive tackle Gerard Warren restructured his contract, giving the Browns more flexibility under the salary cap.
Warren is heading to his fourth season in the NFL. He was a first-round draft pick in 2001.
The Browns also met with six free agents Saturday: running backs Brandon Bennett, Terrelle Smith and Reuben Droughns; defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban; and safeties Deon Grant and Scott McGarrahan.
That makes things a little more interesting.

Im going to say I would rather have Deion Grant only because I still feel that we need more D line help and I would love to see us trade down to the 10th spot to acquire an extra pick since we might only have 1 and take Kenechi Udeze!! This guy is a flat out monster! He terrorized opponents last year and had 16.5 sacks!! Hail to the Redskins!!

I think since we will be trading our first round pick, we won't get Taylor so we will probably get Deon Grant. That's not how I wanted it to unfold but that's the most likely option.

Deon Grant is a good safety but he has not lived up to his potential as of yet. He had a good year last year but it was also his contract year. Sean Taylor looks like the next ed Reed. The kid is the real deal and Miami pumps out talent like the Paris Hilton video.Take Taylor and fill up the wholes through free agency. After the signing of Tupa Butler and Rasby all we need is a gaurd/center and another man on the defensive front. Sign eric Beverley and pick up Kendrick Clancy and we are set

Excellent question, but I agree we'll be looking to trade down. I think Winslow may be garnering a bit more attention from the Skins. I think Sean Taylor will be the pick if we're unable to trade down... and we'll great player!
