Looking at the list and knowing that the Redskins still have 5 mil in cap space to work with as of today I hope they Redskins would consider signing Rob Burnett, Kenny Holmes, Kavika Pittman or Brian Young. I stil feel that Redskins need help on their D-line. I have been hearing they might release Trung Candidate and Larry Moore to free up a little over 2 mil.

I agree we do need more d-line help and do need to get a few more guys before the draft. What about keith traylor and gilbert brown.

I'm not sure we shouldn't wait for June Cuts. Traylor can clog up the middle but Gilbert Brown is hurt half the year every year and no one else on that linuep's got any pass rushing skills. (Excepting Sapp, but his pricetag and age are a little high)

I know Grasmanis had an injury last year - but isn't he normally pretty good?

I don't know, the Eagles had trouble stopping the run with him last year. I think he's just a steady performer that's getting older.

There are some nice names on that list, that we could bring in here at a fairly low price to at least compete for the second starting job next to Mr. Griffin.

...
We'll more than likely still draft a defensive lineman, more than likely a tackle. Trung's release seems inevitable, and we have the money to fill a few more holes. It's been a nice start to the offseason this week.

Indeed, it has. No more B.S. signings, no more 1992 Pro Bowl Rosterees. Nice, hole-plugging talent. We're a couple of positions away from having a solid shot at an over .500 record, and maybe more. Give me a nice, tall TE with some weight and blocking ability (hands are nice, but not required), a speedy DE and a DB who can range from SS to FS to ST, and I'm buying the first round in the first round.

I'm not sure that Gilbert Brown is available, and I think he's pretty happy in Green Bay. Plus, I'm happy to see him stay there. That 34 year old hasn't had a sack in five years, and he's batted down two balls in the same amount of time.

I am still hoping that the Broncos realease Daryl Gardener between now and training camp.
He was fine when he was here, and he is cool with LaVar, Trotter, etc.

OafusP, believe me when I tell you that dude is SOOO late for the door in Denver. There's no way they keep him. It'd be nice to have him back, but not at his present cost. His head just ain't right when he gets paid.

Yep, and when Denver cuts him it voids his current contract.
I still think he should have been packaged w/ Portis...but his contract was not appealing.
The Skins probably think he will be cut, and then may attempt to resign him at half the price.

That is, IF he can somehow become a "character" guy. As of right now, his appearance in DC is bookended by two teams that thinks he's a piece of garbage.

the pack cut brown right before free agency started, but i haven't heard much about him, i.e. teams he's visited, etc., pro'ly because he's old. my guess is that he'll sign with someone in june.

Awesome data, Bagadonuts ! Somehow, it got past me. Nothing gets past me that easy.
By the way, did anybody else notice that Jay Shroeder isn't our QB anymore ? He isn't on the roster !

There's a rumor Schroeder will be traded for an O-Lineman. This will be a big mistake - you never trade a QB for a tackle...mark my words, this will never happen...
