I feel so much better now. I know we are eliminated from the playoffs but now at least I don't need to listed to these horrible Eagle fans all week. Yay.

Our offense still stinks, but the defense looked terrific.

Hey, guess what? This team CAN win by scoring just 10 points a game.

(Sigh).

The defense has pretty consistently done more than enough to win every game. The offense is a huge problem.

That actually sounds good. Mike has worked with Zorn and could easily help him make the transition into head coach. There are still a lot of things that Zorn needs to learn and who better to help him than a former Super Bowl coach and his mentor.

That'd be ok for me.

Games like this aren't great for my heart.

Even though he had a modest stat line, I think LaRon Landry played his best game at FS as a Redskin this game.

Also...we were extremely lucky that Landry got in the head of DeShaun Jackson earlier in the game...because Jackson blew by DeAngelo Hall twice for sure-fire TDs, and dropped both of them.

You just KNOW that he was just waiting for the hammer to drop. A great Safety give good receivers very short arms.

Zorn is talking all happy, WE SCORED 10 pts. Ten. Our offense is a pathetic excuse for an nfl offense. Randle El anyone? Devin had 1 nice catch and 1 nice drop. Fred Davis 1 nice catch. Oh and we actually use portis on the goal line what a concept!!! We suck.

How about the rookie head coaches this year.

All Rookie head Coaches have guaranteed their team a .500 record or better.

John Harbaugh & Ravens are 10-5
Tony Sparano & the Dolphins are 10-5
Mike Smith & the Falcons are 10-5 and in the playoffs
Jim Zorn & our Redskins are 8-7

What's even more awesome is this:

The Ravens and Falcons have rookie QBs.
The Dolphins went 1-15 last year.

Philthy's O has less heart than our offense.

Now THAT is sad.

Hall has some work to do.
He and Smoot and Springs ALL got burned in that final drive.
But, if it wasn't for the defense, we'd have lost big time.
Winning by 10 points is beyond pathetic.

Portis is over 1400 yards. Campbell is over 3000 yards.

Another good game by our defense. Our Punter (whatever his name is) also played a big role in today's win.
JC? He's as good as he's going to get, which isn't saying much. O-line did a decent job of pass protecting and run blocking, so enough of the excuses for JC.
I can only hope that who ever our next Head Coach is, he'll have an open competition for the starting QB position.

The game today backs up the glaring fact that our offense needs a lot of work. It was nice to beat Philly twice, but hard to understand how we put ourselves in this position by loosing to Cincy last week. No matter how many posts are written about we need this or we need that, the underlying factor is that we need stability and a belief in the future. The problem with this team is that we have so many veterans it is a win now type of team. I can already see most of us getting excited when we are aggressive in free agency this offseason and pick up some stud players without addressing the core issue of rebuilding thru the draft. We might win a Championship but we will be hit with the same old problem once again. No real commitment to building a youthful foundation.

Philly came in with no urgency, just like Washington did last week. I just don't get how teams that have everything to play for just don't show up. I'm glad to get the "W" though, and for all the ugly the Offense spews out on a weekly basis, the Defense really plays with heart.

Zorn is staying, I don't think there is a reasonable argument to be made against that. Vinny and Dan are in power and he is their find. He will be given next year at the very least. I'd like to see us lose to SF for draft positioning. I think we needed to beat PHI at home just to stay sane. But now we can end the year 8-8 with a first year system and coach and prepare to overhaul this Oline.

keep the draft talk down we need to keep the core and get the oline some dinners
