he's not and won't be, so we won't be good
By Portis playing 5 weeks ago against the Steelers set this freefall in motion. If he would have taken the week to rest, he would have been at full strength for these games. Instead, he hasn't practiced for 5 weeks, and we expect the team to play in a rythem. I agree with the call to bench him tonight. Should have been done long ago.

Carlos Kelly...can't catch. Thomas seems to be the better WR at this point.

The offense we've seen the last 5 weeks is where the baseline needs to be set for evaluation and player acquisition.
That 6-2 start is an anomaly and must be treated as though is never happened.

In consolation, Coughlin choked in the second half of seasons a few times before they finally got it right in NY and won a SB. Mybe we can do the same.
*** You have to have players to be able to turn things around. If we had their O-Line and D-Line we could do the same thing too!

On the Cowher note I brought up, I just feel the need to say that I do not support it. I like Zorn. I would just not be suprised if Snyder canned him for BC, like he did Schott. for Spurrier after a strong second half of the season.

It can't be less fun then the game was. :0( At least we had a brief bit of excitement early in the fourth quarter though. And we are consistent, we can't score against good D's at all. Not that we score much against the rest. But hey, it's the Z man's first year. We're going to need some real evaluation in the off season of everything we're doing on O, who's doing it, the plays we're calling...

Hope it wasn't a carry over from Gibbs. And this second half is what we can expect from Zorn..

All this rage about Kelly being top notch... he sucks, Devon T sucks, all draft pick suck except for 48. Colt may be ok....don't know yet.
This team is pathetic.....but my blood is black and maroon.....whatever Zorn said.

Campbell looked off, and has looked off for the past 4 games or so.

IA. I'd like to see Thomas become more involved in the offense.

Unfortunately the Skins have gone from Surpising, to respecable while losing, to embarrassing.
That's the sad progression of this season so far. We're not improving. We are getting worse, IMHO.

Devon shows tenacity, I think he has a lot of promise. Carlos Kelly aka Michael Westbrook can't catch a cold.

He did? I saw two bad throws. The short throws that were too low. I thought he was making very good adjustments at the line.

I honestly think once the Redskins are officially out of the playoffs (if they lose the next game), they should put Brennan in and see what he can do. I honestly think he can actually spread the defense out more with him strong arm

I will say that some of it has to do with recievers dropping passes, but he does tend to hesitate sometimes and hold on to the ball a bit too long

I don't think Brennan has a stronger arm, and obviously pre-season can only show you so much but it looks like he makes much quicker decisions. With that said, I don't want to see him playing with the state of our offensive line.

Instead of playing our QB and continuing his work with Zorn we put in the undersized not ready for prime time late round rookie project? What a waste of 3 games that would be.

Yes he does, but I suspect it's because he doesn't trust his ball-dropping receivers, nor the O Line that was AWFUL the entire first half of the game. It's an offensive problem as a whole, not just a JC problem.
I think the belief that Colt goes in and all of a sudden the O-Line becomes studs and the receivers catch everything is silly, so much so that I hope Zorn puts Colt in just so I can say I told you so when the result is the same.

Oline sucks...but Heyer looked better than that old man jansen.
Dline sucks...let's throw them all out...
Rogers gets juked for a TD, Landry was not deep in his place...
The wheels are falling of this wagon.

It'll be a waste either way.
