What did we think of Portis's press conference?

I'm sure it's already been mentioned in the myriad of posts that have been posted over the last day or so, so forgive me if I missed it. But, I gotta say, I was quite impressed with the way Portis spoke at his news conference today. He was eloquent, well spoken, and seemed respectful of the Redskins. I was particularly impressed with the way he spoke about building up the team chemistry. Irrespective of his physical capabilities, I was highly impressed with his humble attitude. I know a lot of people say we bought a bad attitude, but from what I've seen so far, I'm somewhat impressed.
Anyone share my views on this one?

i was very impressed with both portis's and brunell's press conferences....they both seem like they want to be here and want to win a super bowl under Gibbs

Thought both did great - Portis seemed a little nervous but who wouldn't be.

1. I wish he wouldn't have worn those glasses, because as many lights as there were on him, the sun wasn't shining throught the roof...
2. I wonder if Ify was told before the Press Conference that his number was given away... lol
I too was quite taken with his press conference, although not surprised. I have heard him speak many different times, and he is about as close to estute as can be. Brunell's was very nicely done as well, and Shawn Springs really captured my attention. You could see the excitement in his eyes to be back in the area, and I can tell he feels like he has something to prove.
On another note... Seeing Champ with the Broncos banner behind him, and hoisting up a navy blue and orange jersey was quite awkward.

Portis, who had two years remaining on his contract, demanded to be the highest-paid running back in the league - next season. If he wasn't, Portis, his agent threatened, wouldn't report until the 11th game (which would give him credit for a full season toward fulfilling his contract). The Broncos countered with a $10 million bonus offer if Portis agreed to extend his contract two more years. He would have become very well-paid ($4 million average annually), but not highest-paid. Or the Broncos would have provided him with a $15 million insurance policy. Neither proposal was acceptable.
The Broncos told Portis and his agent to go make a deal bringing the Broncos a No. 1 and No. 2 draft choice. "We didn't want an unhappy player," said Shanahan, who added that there were seven other second-year players who "have similar situations" to Portis'. But none was a Pro Bowl player; none was a 1,500-yard runner in his first two seasons; none was as valuable to the Broncos.
Guess wre're getting the same type of player we gave up. But hey everyone happy...hofefully this will spark more trade in the NFL. Woody doesn't like the trade.

all in all i thought the both of them did very well.
in brunell i thought he was very solid in everything he said about joe and what they discussed when he went down to meet him and took him to the hospital.and for portis other than the sunglasses i thought he was alittle nervous but all in all he did a fine job.very soft spoken but like geepz i,ve heard him before on the best damn sports show period one time before
for shawn springs i didn,t see it so i only that he is ready to go being back home and playing for joe gibbs. ports even seemed ready to get going under joes system.
