R.I.P. Sean

Today is one year since the tragic shooting that eventually took the life of Sean Taylor.

To Sean:

Thank you for everything you did on the field for the Redskins, the fans, and most importantly, your family and friends off the field. Your loss is still felt everywhere in this area and im sure it's exactly the same in Florida.

We all still miss you and wish that tragic event never occured. I don't know if a death ever struck me the way yours did. I know the deaths of Kevin Mitchell and Justin Skaggs were a precursor.

Not a day goes by that I don't think about your passing and try to live life as if tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Rest in peace buddy. I'll see you when I get there.

To everyone that can read this:

I hope everyone takes these couple days to appreciate life and the people around them. The death of Sean Taylor reinforced in a lot of people, myself included, how short life is and how precious friends and family are.

So to everyone that is reading this. Enjoy spending time with your family and friends tomorrow because none of us know how much time we have left to experience the simplest, yet most fullfing, things such as a dinner with family.

Before my article gets posted, just wanted to post this here first. This is from Andre Carter.

To the Fans,

I want to thank you so much for welcoming me with open arms ever since I arrived in 06. The experience has been unforgettable and I am proud to be a Redskin. For the fans that are less fortunate, I pray that God will keep you safe from any hurt, harm, and danger. We are indeed going to rough times. Keep your heads up. Sometimes, in order to see the light at the end of the tunnel, we must be in the dark for a short time. But don't fret, when the light comes, it will be brighter than anything you have imagined. I thank the fans and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
