Andy Reid is a coward.

Say what you want about McNabb. He has been with Reid for 10 years. He has taken this team to numerous playoff, and Championship games.

Pathetic.

I have no respect for such a coach.

What an awful place to install your young QB as well. Oh well can't happen to a better team or a better group of fans.

He also had his assistants tell McNabb that he was benched for the second half; didn't have the stones to do it himself.

I hope that McNabb becomes the scapegoat at the end of the year and gets cut while Reid gets a 3 year contract extension

Reid will be back if he chooses. McNabb is gone, his career potential unmet because of his coach. McNabb has always been a good soldier doing what he's told. Reid is a horrible and overrated coach. I just love watching this team fall apart.

McRibb will leave and win a ring somewhere else.

The Eagles will spin their wheels for a decade while trying to find a franchise QB.

I love this decision. It's hilarious.

McNabb isn't playing well against the Ravens. So...put in Kolb.

Not surprisingly, he's just as bad!

Andy Reid is a good coach with one, huge, glaring flaw. He hates to run the ball. If he actually ran the ball with some regularity, he wouldn't put his franchise QB in such an awful situation (throw on every down when the other team expects it).

I hope they fire Reid and cut McNabb, so that the Eagles fans get what they deserve; a 10 year search for a decent QB, and a series of hiring and firing one truly awful coach after another.

The thought of that is just awesome. They don't know how good they have/had it.

Just got off the phone wit a buddy from Philly.. he's so ticked off its incredible. They (whole city of Philly) is tired of Andy Reid, they want him out, McRibb in. He said "i hope Kolb gets every bone in his body crushed".. harsh words right guys? that's pretty normal for a fan from Philly though.

HaHaHaHaHa.. only because a lot of the smeagol fans said they are better than us..

I think Reid is done in Philly. That move there just cost him the chance of extending his coaching career in Philly.

Yep, I agree.

Reid did, in fact, take his team to four consecutive NFC Championship games, so I don't see him as a bad coach. But.... I do agree he has hurt the team with some of the play calling this year.

Remember, coaches also get hung up on what the media and fans whine about. Just a few weeks back, the Eagles had 1st and goal from inside the five yard line. Reid ran the ball on four consecutive plays, failed to score the TD and was blasted in the media for doing so. It was at the end of the Bears game and the Eagles lost because of it. The Eagles also struggled running inside the five yard line in the Skins game as well.

Now he is throwing on 3rd and short or inside the five yard line and still can't win. So... he runs the ball, losses, and fans scream about it. Now he is throwing all over the place and the fans and media are screaming once again. So I believe Reid is a decent coach just caught up with a team that is currently not executing very well.

But I do agree that Reid's offense has never been very balanced and has always had a higher passing percentage.

Yeah, that's true. But, that's another knock on him; he's never pressed to draft/sign a running back with size. Seriously...if the Eagles had a guy with size, they would be able to pound the ball...but their "power" back is Correll Buckhalter, who is smaller (and far less powerful) than Portis.

Nor has he ever made a point of getting McNabb a top-flight wideout outside of one year. That, to me, is inexcusably arrogant and stupid.

What about Desean Jackson? And Didn't they draft Stallworth. Stallworth did really well for them until the Patriots swiped him up.

Ried I think is a good coach, but fails in many areas. To use Mcnabb as a scape goat, is just low class.

on another note.

I think reporters are scared to ask him questions. I keep trying to catch his pressers, because he looks like he is about to explode after every question.

He looks like he is squeezing his but closed while answering questions.
Maybe he just always has to go to the bathroom. He's constipated or something.

The Eagles have drafted a whole bunch of wide receivers high that haven't panned out (see Freddy Mitchell, former first rounder, and Todd Pinkston, Reggie Brown in the 2nd round, and Billy McMullin in the third round). Stallworth was "okay" for the Eagles (his one year with them is 38 catches for 725 yards and 5 TDs), not great.

Stallworth was a FA they signed for one year. Andy Reid the GM is terrible. He has refused to get any recievers but throws 70% of the time. He refuses to get a real tight end, a real fullback, a blocking RB. He is stubborn and does not care at all what the media or fans say. He does things his way which worked well when the Cowboys were coached by Dave Campo, the Giants by Fassell and the Skins by Spurier/Robiski/Turner. Once the NFC improved his team stunk. The one year they had a wide receiver (T.O.) they went to the Super Bowl and should have won if not for the poor coaching that resulted in not having a two minute offense. Don't be fooled by the National media becasue Reid and McNabb ran T.O. out of town, not the other way around.

NFC East got better, and the Eagles defense got older. Back in the day, they dominated I'd argue not because of McNabb, but because of that defense. It was tremendous, specifically Brian Dawkins. He really was a great safety.

Now he's just old.

Word.

Great blue collar teams and players.

Agree... McNabb is not a superstar... but he certainly deserved better than he got Sunday. Part of my personal philosophy on leadership is, if you're going to screw someone (it has to be done, sometimes), look them in the eye when you do it. By implication, that would mean "have the guts to do it yourself".

Reid should have stuck with Garcia when he had the chance.

McNabb is a shadow of his former self. He's capable, but I don't think he's a superstar anymore.

Remember when you had to worry about McNabb scrambling?

Yea he about guaranteed that when he benched McNabb. No idea why you would do that when your team is only down 3.

I hate the eagles and I really have never liked Reid - most likely because he's the head coach of that team.

I thought that Reid handled the game and the change to Kolb really badly and I was hoping that they would make a QB switch for the rest of the season and kick McNabb out of Philly because that would hurt them as a team.

McNabb and Reid (and the rest of the team) last night showed why they are still a very competitive team in the NFC.

Maybe Lurie does something stupid this year and gets rid of his HC and the team decides to go with Kolb next year - now that would definetly hurt the franchise
