this season has been notable for the number of times a team has ended up with a W mainly because the other team (who was IMO the better team on the field) managed to find a way to lose.

It seems to me that this season there are an inordinate number of teams not playing very well together and rather than finding ways to win they seem to be very good at finding ways to lose. I cannot remember the number of times this year that the better team on the field has suddenly and inexplicably found a way to lose.

There have been many reasons for this phenomena but one thing is very clear - this year there have been far more instances where teams have lost games that they should have won.

I know the old cliche is that good teams find a way to win but maybe the fact is there are just not many good teams this year.

Grrrrr.... got wrapped up and forgot to post. I'll take the Thur game as a loss...

Not sure about the status of the weekly pick sheets and when they will resume. However, I do know that Boss is extremely busy and he alone takes care of that part of the hognostications.

My blog wasn't entered last week for the better of the country ( it's true...as Trey realized in another thread, our powers are amazing...) and will resume this week prior to Sunday's kick off. RiC understands why I didn't blog and you can direct all questions to him.

Until then, please continue to post your picks in each week's thread and I will give a review of who won each week and the "season-to-date" standings. Mind you, if the pick sheets resume these "unofficial" results may not be added to the "official" standings.

Forgot about thursdays game too...I'll take a loss if I can.
