Are the Skins going with the Burgundy jerseys? I recall a preseason interview with JZ with him stating that the skins would wear the traditional white at home until the second half of the season. Well, Seeing as this will be the 9th game of the year, anyone know if Zorn is still planning on busting out the Burgundy jerseys Monday night?

I don't like all of the white that they've been wearing, but if it ain't boke, don't fix it.

Let me be the first to make an un-educated guess....I would guess white on white. It being a night game the white would be easier to see. Also due to the fact that the walling around the stadium is Burgandy the white jerseys would show better especially when passing to a WR.

I believe I read tonight we break out the burgundy for home for the first time in years.
Don't shoot the messanger if I'm wrong, though.

First we are playing a Monday night game, and now the uniform change. These are the kinds of things that make me nervous going into the game.
Maybe it's because of those losses we've had in Dallas while wearing the Burgundy (almost the only time we do), but my associations with it are not good.
And Monday night games give me heartache. When's the last time we had a really solid Monday night performance? I'm not counting miracle wins; I mean games that didn't take a toll on our health.

Monday night games. . .really most prime time games. . .have not been good to the Skins in recent memory.

My fear exactly. Although I like the exposure, we always seem to come up short on the big stage. I also hate having to wait through the Sunday games for Monday nighters; it always feels like a bye week for me.

No one wants to tackle a nekkid guy.
But the risk of injury would just be too high.

Awww... just go back a little further into your memory... back to George Allen... Back to Larry Brown... Back to old Furnace Face, Sonny, and to Theisman returning punts... Back to the original chants of "WE WANT DALLAS"...
We were in Burgundy then... and did just fine. Remember "40 men together can't lose"? Remember "Hip, hip, hooray"? Didn't we just hear that resurected recently?
Fear not!
There is a resurgent Burgundy... and it begins TONIGHT!!!!!

I think so too. In preseason Zorn said that when it started getting colder they would wear the burgundy and it should be pretty cold tonight

Correct me if im wrong but, Burgundy (dark) jerseys only would work for warmth in daylight? I dont think artificial light applies. All the technichal terms are escaping me at the moment but , its all related to UV and whats reflected/absorbed (photothermic something or other) Anyway, the players I think decide this one (whats P-burgh record in black vs. whites)

The Bears game last year was a Thursday night game, and it was huge. Started us on a five game win streak into the playoffs. I was there and then flew back to Chicago on Friday morning and wore my Skins hat to work.

Has it finally happened? Word has it that the Redskins are expected to wear burgundy pants and burgundy jerseys for Monday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It would be the first time--at least in recent memory--that the team would wear burgundy on burgundy uniforms.
Players have talked about wearing burgundy on burgundy for years, and earlier this season Jim Zorn indicated it would be a possibility for cold weather games.
White on white uniforms has become a fashion trend for the Redskins in recent years. This year, the Redskins are 4-1 wearing white on white uniforms.
They are 2-0 wearing burgundy jerseys and white pants (wins over Dallas and Philadelphia) and 0-1 wearing white jerseys and burgundy pants (loss to New York Giants).

this could be interesting. If the players really wanted to wear these and Zorn gave them the OK it might pump them up!!!! I think these uniforms COULD look pretty sweet. As long as they are indeed burgandy and not that off red color that our uniform tops are.
