Jason Taylor is a BUST

What week is this? and JT is a non factor...his contract is too big to be a bystander, Parcells was smart and we we're over-anxious, BAD VINNY BAD VINNY! Our draft is rapidly approaching bust status with exception of horton. I had a dream we traded Colt Brennan to the colts, DONT DO IT! In my dream it was like we had to because we made a huge commitment to Campbell, I know this is a contract year for him, but I want Colt to stay and have a chance to grow with US.

Well, if you dreamt it, it must be destiny.

Whoa, relax. I am Mr. Negativity but Taylor has not contributed at all this season so he not playing makes no difference. Maybe he will contribute something later in the year. Who cares about his salary - we are not paying it. The draft is not looking super great yet but you can't declare it a bust after SEVEN games. The team is 5-2, smile God loves you.

Not saying that it's related but....
with Jason Taylor - 3-2
without Jason Taylor 2-0
I guess we can win without him.

Who was it that said....
I think this Jason Taylor move more than anything should put to rest the bashing of our owner for mis-managing our team. Taylor was not sought after as a "big-name" to help put fans in the seats or get media attention, the fact that he does both of those things is a bonus but the real reason Jason Taylor is a Redskin is I believe the same reason every other free agent has been wooed wined and dined by the danny...its because Snyder cares about the success of this team and wants badly to see a winning football team, how many owner would shell out that kind of dough on such short notice to fill a void? 1 maybe 2? I think we are lucky to have an owner who's willing to spend and willing to do whatever it takes, everyone makes mistakes and deion and bruce smith and jeff george were mistakes ok, but in the grand scheme danny has more than made up for those moves. I honestly can't think of any other owner I'd have own this team besides Jack Kent of course and Joe Gibbs obviously.

The Washington Redskins are ranked 27th in Sacks this year. The one thing Jason Taylor was brought in to do.
In Spite of our lack of a pass rush this defense has been pretty good this year. I agree with him we paid him way too much. Might as well have played a rookie instead of him. He has not produced anyway.
He cant stop the run, he cant get a sack, is injured half the time, when he is on the field he sucks.

not sure exactly, but i would like to know what the stats are for "balls batted down at the line of scrimmage" with Jason Taylor in there, and without Jason Taylor in there... i thought i remember seeing that without him, they have 1 batted down pass, and with him, much more... if this is the case, this would reflect that they get more pressure when he is in there... i feel this team could go undefeated, and people on this board would still find something negative to harp on... we traded a 2nd round pick for an established player... look at all the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. round players that never had even the smallest impact on the league... trading for Jason Taylor was definately worth the risk, if that is what you can call it...

Yeah, Jason Taylor is such a jerk -- coming to the Redskins and getting hurt. What a selfish guy, playing through injuries and everything...

Think of the two draft picks (I think it was a second and a sixth) that would've been potential redskins, now their careers will not happen here because we panic'd, I was panicking too, but when phillip went down we panic'd and went and got a washed up wanna be movie star, it's not like we went and got a stud de like dwight freeney, we went and got the biggest name availible which happened to be a fruity guy. I doubt we could trade him at this point either, I think it is a morale killer that he's making all this money and just watching from the sidelines.

Yeah we shouldn't worry about Colt getting traded, after all also in my dream I saw the global elite take off for space in a giant space shuttle so they could destroy everyone on earth and come back to have it all to theirselves, silly dreams.

I have found myself wondering "how many successful screen passes have there been against us this year? How many passes into the right or left flats? Both Taylor and Carter have been all over that stuff. Teams are fortunate if the pass is complete, and if it is, if it makes it back to the LOS. The lack of sack is largely due to the inability of our Tackles to get any push into the center. That is what forces the QB back , and places his tackles in a position where they lose control of the ends.

What's with the gripeing? Jason Taylor played what? 161 consecutive games? Less you forget, Betts was injured for most of his first 2 or 3 years here and where does he fit into the team? JT's injury is not one that is being faked.
When he has been in, the defense has been better. It may not have the number of sacks you may want but it has been a pressure defense. How many batted balls have there been? How many yards given up for the run? Taylor is like Springs, the defense is better with him in there.
Give it a rest!!

jason taylor is not a bust yet. yes we brang him in for the pass rush but he has actually given us just that but hes not getting the sacks that everybody wants. he still is getting close enough to the qb to make him feel uncomfortable and throw off target. he is not a bust! YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's give him a partial pass up to this point. He has been injured, and he is trying to contribute. Give him that, but with the Steelers and Dallas looming, he needs to start earning his paycheck, which is rather LARGE.
