@ DET.....

i dont care what the points spread is, i know they dont have kitna or roy any more, and a leaky D......but Im very very very worried about this game, on the road into the motor city where the Lions are a-lil better than on the road, dont get me wrong im not saying we lose, but i remember last year against AZ, they had a chance to beat us at the end of the game, the rams this year.....

they are 0-season so they are due (wish they won this week)... this is a game where the skins need to get to a fast start and dont let up or look back, the lions hang around they gain confidence and think they can win and will make plays.

the NFL should call them etroit, cause there is NO "D" there..... they give up 251 yards passing, which is 30th and a rush D that gives up 168 per game...31st in the NFL....YIKES.....CP26 is at 818 and 7 TD and honestly he should get to 1k and 2 TDs next week. CP26 will get it if the passing game gets back on track and this is a week that can get it done.

I think we win, and we should handle them, but im worried.....after all in a life long skins fan! do you blame me for being worried!

this team will be prepared to play.

hopefully we have a lot of yardage on the ground and very little in the passing game planned for this week -IF we have to pass we are not playing very well

I agree that we must get off to a fast start. It doens't matter how bad a team is or where they rank or what their record is... The fact of the matter is that these are professional NFL athletes and won't be held down for long.

We gave the Rams hope and they took it and ran with it... Even though Romo was out yesterday, the Rams still played with a strong intensity and mastered the Pukes.

The Redskins must do something that we did NOT do against the Rams. We must break their backs early on. Destroy any hope that they could win the game. Do it early and consistently.

And remember, last year they were off to a hot start until we spanked them hard at FedEx.... then they fell apart and have not been good since. They may be looking for payback....

I hope they bring it. IMO, the weaker they play the weaker WE play. WE NEED TO BE CHALLENGED. I expect CP to have a huge day for this one.

Detroit does not beat the Redskins... I think it's quantum physics, or something.

If the Lions beat the Redskins, a black hole will open and eat all the nose tackles in the NFL.

Imagine a universe with no nose tackes.

Scarey. It'd become a 4-3 world, in an instant.

Agreed with you all you guys. I'd like to see a statement from the Redskins. This is a team we should beat. We should go out and have this one put away at halftime.

They gotta put points up on bad defenses, and that is done by passing the ball. Try and get ahead with the pass early, THEN run Portis down their throat. I don't mean they shouldn't mix it up, but maybe they should go two passes one run instead of one pass two runs.

The Texans stopped playing the Lions after the first half.... Slaton and Ahman Green tore up their D... Andre Johnson was uncoverable... and lastly it was the 1-4 TEXANS! The Lions have been blown out by everyone they've played this year and this week should be no different

Side note:

I'm going!

Okay, now back on topic...

Cannot wait to see Alexander getting a lot more touches as well this week - probably going to mean a lot less passing yardage but if we can run the ball up and down the field at about 7 - 8 minutes a drive that will be fantastic

I just love 4 yards per carry with an occasional pass to keep the box from getting stacked up = priceless

Yeah, I don't want to be overconfident, but I believe it has been ordained by the football gods that Detroit shall never beat the Redskins. I mean, I don't know the numbers on how many times we've beaten them vs the times we've played them in the last 30 or 40 years, but I'm sure it's an astounding number. Seems as though in my earliest memories the Skins we're beating the Lions. And yes, a statement game is what we need here.....

is it too much to ask that around 2:30 or 3pm on sunday i can be sitting back, with an alcohol filled glass, slight buzz, feet on the table thinking about how fun it is gonna be to watch nfl highlights later that night, worried only about our guys padding their stats.... instead of on the edge of my seat, alcohol sweating out faster than i can consume it, worried if the highlights are gonna be of a lions upset.... how bout the skins reward the diehards here with an EASY win. a laugher is definitely overdue.

after both the Rams game and the final 5 minutes of this last game there will be no let up this week - I am not saying they will be over confident but I do think this will be a very conservative game plan on both sides of the ball and hopefully a much easier to watch final quarter.

This game is gonna be extra hard on the Skins.

We still are a bit of an enigma, really. Almost schizophrenic. Sort of a Jeckyl and Hyde thing.

Which team will show up against the Lions?

If it's the one that has played the last two weaks against Cleveland and the Rams, I think we are in trouble. Those last two games were a warning shot...

Doesn't matter if the Lions are 0-6.

This team has not played great the past 2 weeks but we all know that we should have won both games - no worries - that will motivate everyone to mind their business and prepare even harder to make sure there are no surprises this week.

That field goal just missed - it could have been good - but don't you think after what we saw at the goal line that even if they had won the toss they were not going all the way down the field against those guys.

After 7 games we are 5-2 and maybe we are lucky to be there but that is what it is - I believe these coaches and players are playing one game at a time and they had 2 games recently that should keep them in focus for this week - we are a much better team and I believe all the guys will be ready to showcase their skills in Detroit.

The Redskins are the 7th ranked offense in the NFL and the Lions have achieved the ranking of 32 in total defense - that is they are the worst ranked defense in the whole NFL - I do believe we can game plan to take care of business this week.

im not worried at all. i probaly will be by saturday night. But since we lost to the rams i think this team and Zorn know they have to play every week to win. Portis should have another good game, along with JC

I agree that we need to stay focused here , there are a few guys that look like they could use a rest before the Pittsburgh game though, Griffin, Springs doesnt need to rush back and possibly a few others.

I dont think we need the full arsenal on this one. Its a good time to get some key players back close to 100%,the Steelers are physical too.

I am hoping Detroit runs the table 0-16 so our team best not give them there first win. Every year I hope one team runs the table and so far it is Detroit and Cincy still alive.

We have met 36 times.

Redskins 26 wins versus Lions 10 wins (mostly in pre-historic times, i.e., before Welch  ). But otherssay 27 - 10.

The Curse of Bobby Layne started in 1958 and goes for 50 years. We are safe ... yet.

That only goes though 2004.

On a side note, I didn't realize Curly Lambeau Had coached the team for two seasons.
