“We didn’t deserve it, but the Titans in the playoffs?” he said. “Tampa Bay? The Redskins! You can’t tell me we couldn’t beat the damn Redskins.” - Braylon Edwards

They can keep working on this little down stretch and still get a win next week at Dysfunctional Detroit.

Need to have it all in order by the time Pittsburgh comes to town.

What a game by CP cept the force fumble. Took it to the wire, and we cant do that. Defense looked great for the most part, LOVED THAT GOAL LINE STAND. Carlos is a beast! and the offensive play calling needs to get a little more agressive, whats happened to Zorn?

Could have been that, but I fixed it. Check the edit.

I am concerned that our team has dominated stats in 2 games, and still allowed the opponent to hang around to make a play for the game at the end. It cost them last game, and raised blood pressure this game. The Offense is close, but it still can't seal the deal. That will get fixed, I think, but, man...

Clearly, however, the defense is lethal. I can only imagine how dangerous they would be if they could generate a consistent pass rush.

Can we all just take a step back and look at the improvement of Carlos Rogers who went from average corner coming off two torn ligaments to a legit beast corner. Also how about London, I have to say that is the best free agent signing in the history of the franchise. Those two and the rest of our D is straight grimy. HAIL TO THE D BABY!!!

You forgot to mention Horton. He's all over the place.

Both are true... that's why it's such a shame we can't seem to generate much pressure in the pass rush... imagine how good out pass d could be with a little more help from the D-line! They would be truly scary.

I honestly thought I was going to throw something through my TV screen! WHY CAN'T THE REDKSINS EVER JUST PUT THEIR OPPONENTS AWAY? The Skins had so many chances to finish the Browns and they just refused to do it.

The defense makes a beautiful goal line stand to deny the Browns. All the Skins gotta do is hand the ball to CP, keep moving the chains and run the clock out, right? Wrong! CP, who plays a picture perfect game up until this point puts the ball on the ground and the Browns recover. No problem, all we gotta do is keep the Browns out of the end zone, right? Wrong! The Browns score a TD. No problem, all we gotta do is keep them from getting the 2 point conversion, right? Wrong! They get it. No problem, all we gotta do is hand the ball to CP, move the chains and run the clock out, right? Wrong! After running all over the Browns' D for the entire game, when all we need is one last first down, we can't get it.

At this point in the season, 5-2 is way better than I thought we'd be. Our D is playing lights out ball except for towards the very end of games. What can I say about Portis other than he's the man! JC still looks shakey at times, but he still hasn't thrown an INT and he runs the offense effectively. Hopefully his shakeyness will get better.

All this said, we were lucky to come out with a win today. Had the Browns made that last FG, I believe they would've won because they had all the momentum at the end of the game. The Skins need to learn how to go for the jugular when they have their opponent down. Good teams win close games like this. Great teams take full advantage of their oppotunities to put games away. The Skins aren't quite there yet.

Look, we're playing pretty tough and all....BUT WE CAN KEEP PLAYING CLOSE WITH THESE low level teams.....

We're suppose to BEAT THESE TEAM.... Skins give me a heart attack sometimes.

Big ups to the D in this game. Lots of Kudos to Rogers, LBF, Horton, et al.

The Skins are a good team, but not a great one yet. Good teams win close games. Great teams take advantage of their oppotunities to put games away. The Skins aren't there yet.

I agree totally with this. I don't understand it. Although we lost TOP, we still were the clear-cut better offensive team. I cannot understand why we keep lower-level teams with us.

We also need a pass-rush. Although better than last week, is was horrible regardless

If you look at the stats you'd swear the Skins won by at least 2 TD's. The Skins seem to do this every week. Blow the other team out in stats, but not on the scoreboard. They need to figure out how to translate those stats into points.

Jason Campbell is still the only starting QB in the NFL without an interception this season and the Redskins have gone an NFL-record 332 pass attempts without a pick going back to last year. ...

5-2 is great, but the Skins gotta figure how to win by more than the skin of their teeth.
