That would put us 1/2 game back. The G-strings have already had their bye week.

Go Braylon! (I need 40 yards and no turnovers by him to win in fantasy)

GO BROWNIES!! WOOF WOOF! I hope Browns fans can provide the much needed 12th man spark for them. They will be fired up, they have not played a MNF game since 2003.

The NFC East going 1-3 this weekend would be unexpected. Wish we were the one, though.

Great win tonight for the Browns, that helps us out tremendously. This Sunday is defintely not a gimme game anymore. We better be prepared for a battle with the Browns. There offense woke up tonight.

Looks like the oddsmakers were right in making us 8.5 point favorites - that game by the giants was one of the worst exhibitions of football I have ever seen - the Browns never had to punt the entire game and the Giants defense never forced a turnover - that is an amazing statement - talk about overrated - what an embarrasment for that stupid bunch

So, the Redskins get -- in essence -- a mulligan within the division. They lost ground to other NFC teams in potential wild-card situations.
But it was the best they could hope for.

As far as the NFC East goes, it certainly was a mulligan. I was angry when the 'Skins lost, but I don't feel so bad now that Dallas and NY did as well.

Yeah, but now I can't help but think, we would have been in sole possession of 1st place in the division.

Exactly. We blew a chance to pick up games on the competition. Still, wouldn't the NYGs still have the tie-breaker on us?

We'd be 5-1. They'd be 4-1.

While this is true, one of the silver linings in all of this is that our loss came to a team that has about a zero percent chance of competing for a playoff spot. In terms of playoff odds and tie-breakers, it is much better to be 4-2 having beaten the Cowboys and Eagles (on the road, especially) than to be 4-2 after splitting the NFC East games and beating the Rams.

Agreed. Also, we beat the Cardinals and the Saints, who will beat some of our playoff competition, making at least a WC bid a likely scenario.
