heres a real good blog about what Bill Simmons really thinks what happend with Ramirez and the Sox.. It's kind of long, but its a good read for any of you who like baseball and follow it and know about this whole thing. i like all sports so i get real into it all. Skins still my 1st love that actually got me into sports so no other sport or team compares to em.

I liked Ramirez until I spent this year working in Boston learning what a lazy, classless person he is. Sox fans are rightfully fed up with him. The guy's getting paid $20M this year and punched a teammate, can't run out grounders, won't lift the bat off his shoulder while striking out if he doesn't feel like it. I haven't met a single Sox fan in Boston who wasn't thrilled with getting rid of him and actually getting what they got for him. I liked him before this too, I was in the "Manny being Manny" crowd picturing him as a big fun loving kid. Maybe he once was, but I lost all respect for him now.

I read a bunch of it, it goes on forever.
So riddle me this Batman, my comments were telling you what I heard on local talk radio in Boston and discussed with Sox fans in the office in Boston. Seems to have to do with Manny. My question is even if I didn't read any of the piece, that changes what I heard on talk radio in Boston and from Sox fans because....
Question 2. And in the piece it also says his agent's a jerk, at least as far as I got. That changes Manny's responsibility for Manny's behavior because...
I totally don't get the contention in the article that maybe people in Boston would be less hard on Manny if they realized his agent was also a selfish jerk. MANNY is a selfish jerk and it doesn't change that.

That might be the first sports article I've read before that had footnotes.
Pretty good article though, and I blame Boras a lot as well. I hate that guy; he's a snake.
I'm sure Ramirez isn't complaining. He's going to get paid big time after this season, and the Dodgers just might get to the World Series. Not bad.
At this rate, a Dodgers - Red Sox World Series would be pretty interesting...

I didn't read the blog (aka too lazy). But as much as I hate ManRam, you've got to respect the guy. He single handed got the LA Dogers in the playoffs. He looks like he is having a lot more fun in LA. And how can you not love him taking out his 9 iron in Game 1 and hitting that ball off this shoe laces to opposite field.

He's like TO. Sure, he loved Dallas, look at the reality starting to surface now. Manny's loving life in LA. Let them sign him to a long term contract and see how that turns out when he's resting his bat on his shoulder during a 3 pitch strike out because his manager didn't give him a blow job before the game.
