I just had a thought, do any of you guys think that Joe could move him to tight end?? With his size I think he would make a good tight end if he could make the position switch. I am just trying to get him on the field because he is so talented!!! :P

He is like 180 wet

Gibbs TE will need to be 225+

We already got a good pass catching TE. He will be our Ricky Sanders. He'll get his catches, especially in the Red Zone!

If only we could combine Chamberlain's hands and size with McCants speed and ability to run routes...

Someone get me my toolkit, whahahahahahaha!

While you're at it, take Chamberlain's size and McCants' heart and you will have a solid tight end.

Well guys, during the season I went straight to the source and asked him if he knew that he had been used as basically a TE and he told me that that is how he has been used throughout his career. So I think it would be just as great for him to put on some pounds and turn into a tight end, lik Mikhael Ricks, as it would for him to be a receiver.

Want about converting Bryan Johnson to TE. He did play the position in High School and at college. It wasn't before the Skins signed him did he play Fullback.

I don't care how we use him...just as long as he's on the field.

The few games I saw him here at Del State he was use very similar...he was just a TD machine here. Gibbs will get the most out of him where ever he lines up! I see him in the Slot

I doubt McCants would excel as a TE in Gibb's offense - we need a run blocker there. Besides, I think McCants is an excellent WR - and he clearly wants to be here.

welcome DaveSkin! I completely agree, line him up in the slot and send him accross the middle (ala Art Monk). In the redzone through it high and his size will make sure he is the only one who can catch it.

Not so sure he is close to being big enough to be a full time tight end...good enough to be a recieving tight end, but blocking and all the dirty work, not so sure...good thought tho..ha

Thanks for the welcome Scott! McCants clearly has an ability to run across the middle, use his size and grab the ball in traffic. He's got soft hands and clearly has an ability to hang on to the rifle bullets that Patrick was throwing his way. With Coles and Gardner getting the bulk of the CB attention, McCants has been drawing LB and Safety coverage. We NEED to resign that young man. I hope it works out.
