I love beating Dallas but you can only celebrate for so long. I am 100% focused on Philly and my biggest concern will be us running the ball. They give up something like 70yds rushing per game. I would make CP and LB a feature for the win this week. I feel their focus is stopping the run. If we show we can run the ball, that should open up area's for dumping the ball off behind the LB's to pick up those 1st downs and eat the clock down.

This week, our defensive line did a good job of pressuring the qb. We did not get a sack that I can remember but we put him in position to have to adjust and that hurt his accuracy. Our defense has an opportunity to get a ton of pressure this week due to Philly's o-line issues. I doubt we get Taylor back this week. There is no real need to have him back. I would prefer to have him available towards the end of the year. Chris Wilson has a good chance to get a lot of reps here since I see them using either Westbrook or Buckhalter as their primary option.

What's the status for Brian Westbrook?, will he play?

I think we can beat them more through the air. With our WC offense its going to be based on how JC reads the blitzes and I think we can cut em up with our short crossing routes. The key is going to be protection and Jason's preparation.

I believe this is the biggest question headin into Sunday's game. If both Westbrook and Buckhalter are out, then we can key in on the WRs and do what the Bears did and put pressure on D-Nab

The Fecals like to use a lot of blitzing packages. If our O line can pick up the blitzes, we should be able to run or pass on them successfully. playing philty is tough, and playing them after a loss is even tougher. I think Westbrook will play on this one, they can ill afford to lose to us and they will pull all the stops to get a W. This game has playoff implications written all over it. Our Div. always send 3 to the playoffs every year A W for us here gives us a leg up or at least even (if they get a W @ fedex-highly unlikely).

My strat would be to stop the run and put pressure on the edge to contain McNabby. The DB's are playing well right now, and their passing game is not as big a threat as the running game (assuming Westbrook is playing). I would sneak LL for blitzes every chance I get.


If Westbrook is out, Rush 4, and drop everyone back to cover. Let them have dinks and dunks, they'll eat the clock and seal their fate. On Offense, it's fairly simple, feed ey, time and again he has proven that he can get open with these guys. Keep them honest by throwing deep to moss, but mainly get ey involved, let them drop the LB's then start feeding CP.

Personally, my strategy will be to provide tight coverage of the couch in my living room, similar to my sceme versus Dallas just without the Jessica Simpson cut-out from last year.

We picked it up last week in Dallas, we can pick it up in Philly.

Last week was a Test for the D and they did very well, this week is the test for our O.

Hold on. That's high-end real estate in Philly.

I say if we can pick up the blitzes that are gonna come for sure, and then make short passes or even draw plays to get behind the LB's it will force them to drop their LB's to cover and thats when we get CP going. Thats a big if tough philly is a tough defensive team.

I believe philthy is better at disguising their blitzes. The bring guys from everywhere. I do believe, however, three step drops, quick hitches and screens will make philthy pay for their aggressiveness.

That D didn't look so tough in Dallas. They can be exposed.

This offense is further ahead than what I expected. This offense has the capability to put up more points in a game than we've seen over the span of 3 games in seasons past.

We will score points but what we need to work on is not settling for fieldgoals and converting turnovers into 7 points.

This game will be a big test for us and I feel confident that we'll win. However, I'm worried about the "easy" games we have after Philly. Now those seem like trap games and we have to make sure that we don't overlook them.

It's amazing how we were hoping to eek out 1 win from these 2 games and are now feeling confident about beating them soundly. Wow...

ey said his main objective in Dallas was blocking. That's how they "didn't look so tough." We'll have to have some additional help for the front 5 again this week to succeed, I would bet. I'm not saying to discount the Eagles front 7, but they are tough as well as Dallas was.

I think the key is to continue to play mistake free football on both sides of the ball.

The pukes have a much better O line than Philly and for some reason never used Jones and hardly used Barber - I am sure that Philly is going to be a lot more run oriented than we saw last week and if we can make them change out of that it will be a big help again.

On offense we need to establish early that we can both run and pass if we need to - this will hopefully slow down the all-out blitzing that Johnson favors, especially if a team shows that it cannot handle the pressure.

Both the punting and kickoff teams need to make sure that we give them bad field position as often as possible. I do not think there will be a lot of scoring here which to me favors the Redskins

I think Philly is going to be a tougher game than Dallas. We had control of the Dallas game for the final 3 quarters, that game was a lot more one-sided than the score showed. Dallas lit up Philly's secondary when they played in week 2, I say let JC throw short to medium range passes on most 2nd and 3rd downs to start. Then run CP and LB more often once our passing game is established. Hopefully Westbrook doesn't play, that will make this game a whole lot easier.

Erasmus James recieved solid hype and I'm waiting for him to show. Also waiting for Devin Thomas to contribute but that might be a whole season of waiting. Any chance Malcom plays in Philly?

My strategy is for our team to keep doing what they are doing. We are a balanced offense with alot of weapons. My biggest question is can our defense continue doing what its doing? DeShaun Jackson is probably the quickest WR we've seen (besides in practice w/89) and Westbrook/Mcnabb with scrambling and the screen passes pose a completely different challenge than we've had. Philly has a good team and they know they need a win to keep pace, but we have a kid named Jason Campbell going right now and he's getting more and more capable of truly leading his team. Jason's leadership and our defensive toughness equal 4-1 then bring on the RAMS!

I also agree that we should pass to set up the run, do things a little backward for redskin football, get those short to intermediate passes going than get CP busting they're chops.

Defense has to play a discipline short zone where LB's can fake blitz, then drop into shallow zones. This clogs up the dump off's, slants, screens and scrambles that Philly loves to run. Landry will be key in center field to take away some of their deep shots. The front four will need to generate some pressure on their own.

Philly will score some points, but if we make their WR's take some vicious hits over the middle, and keep McNabb's passing and running lanes narrow, they will not march down the field very easily.

I would also like to echo what FFA said - a week ago we would have loved a split and now after a game that showed we can play with (and beat!) one of the best teams in the NFL this year we are looking at this game with a lot more confidence.

I think that Dallas is a better team offensively than Philly and I feel that our offensive game planning and handling the constant pressure will be the big key.

McNabb is not the run threat that he was - he can still get around but he is nowhere near the problem he was a few years ago.



I would not be at all surprised to see us win this game.
