Baltimore Ravens starting safety Dawan Landry was cleared by a CT scan after he was hospitalized following a knee to the helmet against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Landry was carted off the field during the second quarter before he was taken to the hospital for X-rays.

“Everything is normal,” Ravens spokesman Kevin Byrne said.

Hope he's OK and I'm sure Laron is concern for his brother.....

I was actually watching this game when this happened. I was really concerned about him because for a very long time he was on the ground and he wasn't moving. And then right before he was taken off the field on a stretcher he started to move a little and talk. So, I hope that he gets better.

A CT scan on Ravens safety Dawan Landry indicated that he was OK after being taken from the field on a cart Sunday after taking a knee to the helmet during the second quarter of a game against Cleveland.

"Everything is normal," Ravens spokesman Kevin Byrne said.

Landry was hurt trying to tackle Jamal Lewis, whose knee hit Landry in the head. Landry lay motionless for several minutes before being taken from the field with the facemask removed from his helmet and his head immobilized.

He never lost consciousness and had movement in all his extremities, Ravens orthopedist Leigh Ann Curl said. The third-year safety was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma unit for X-rays.

Landry, a fifth-round draft pick in 2006, started all 16 games last year. He led Baltimore defensive backs with six tackles in the opener against Cincinnati on Sept. 7.
