Anyone using this browser yet? It's got a lot of work that needs to be done, but it is fast. Very promising, in my opinion.

THN, for example, runs probably 3-4 times faster with Chrome than it did in Firefox. For me, anyway.

I'm still a Firefox kind of guy, but if they do a good job with this (and port it to Linux) I may be sold.

Yes, I am. They need to add those features that are standard with every other web browser, but I'm quite impressed so far. I think Google is looking to peave Microsoft yet again. :lol:

Google Chrome + Google Gears = beginning of end for Microsoft

Cloud computing may take several more years to really develop, but once it does M$ will be in trouble. Having all storage, hardware, and programs completely present at your desktop is ultimately inefficient. Whether M$ likes it or not, small, fast devices that connect to a server are the way of the future. . .

I agree. Once Google connects all of their own programs, they will all but eliminate MicroSkunk as both obsolete and a model of inefficiency.

It'll be nice to have someone in competition with M$ that they can't strong arm for once. Maybe they'll actually have some support pride in their products for once...

Just downloaded chrome and so far I like it. Blazingly fast, but it does have a few quirks that need to be ironed out.

I've used google chrome on my Vista PC. It's pretty good, but it does crash occasionally. The Flash plugin isn't very stable, for example. I really like the idea of the tabs being separate processes. One of the things that annoys me tremendously with all other browsers is that the whole program freezes up when one web site hangs in one tab.
