Y'know, the Redskins jumped up from 26th to 24th on this guys listing after a hard fought win where our offense played great and our defense stopped what was referred to last week as a high powered attack.

The Revens meanwhile didn't even play and jumped up from 22nd to 15th.

Can someone explain that to me? I've alawys been bad at math.

while we did win.. it wasn't easy.. we were trailing well into the 4th quarter and just pulled it out in the end.. our offense was better but still has plenty to improve on( despite the 455 yards) .. mainly 3rd down conversions

we couldn't put the ball into the endzone until late in the game .. so I wouldn't expect much in the power rankings and frankly don't care if we are rated dead last as long as we are improving and that is exactly what we did against the Saints and hopefully we will continue to do against the Cardinals.. this time finishing drives with touchdowns like we were able to do in the 4th quarter

Its easy. Ridiculous power ranking take little to no thought, and someone always get screwed in them, getting people to talk about the writer and his outlet.

Let's see what happens when we beat his #11 team, the Cardinals, this week.

What game were you watching? We only punted twice. We moved the ball at will most of the game. The problem was scoring in the red-zone.

We'll probably slide to 30th

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. There are, literally, hundreds of these types of rankings, most of them purely subjective and intended to do nothing more than create outrage.

I was watching the game were we could only covert 3 out of 11 3rd down conversions.. something like I said we need to improve on and I was watching the game were 5 of our drives that we were moving the ball on them at will ended in field goal trys .. like I said our offense is improving but still isnt there yet .. I didnt say our offense played like crap .. frankly only being able to convert less then 30 percent of your 3rd downs for the 2nd straight week worries me.. and only getting field goal trys results in us being down 2 scores late into the 4th quarter.. we need to do better in alot of areas.. Im happy with the win and glad we are improving but dont get too excited yet for one game

In my power rankings the Redskins jumped from 23rd this week all the way up to the number 6 slot. Also the Bears' loss hurt them, so they went from number 1 down to number 26. The Patriots continue their dominance in the mid-table at 13, and the Bills round everything out at number 34.

8 missed conversions: 5 FG attempts, 2 punts, and the final drive (where we converted on 4th down instead). I still stand by my assessment that the stats don't tell the story from the game. A lot of the time we made the first down on 1st or 2nd down, and did not have to convert on third.

My point was that we moved the ball well all day, on some really long drives, only to fail when we hit the red zone. And the three third down conversions were some really long ones as well, like that one to Cooley for 20+ yards. It was night and day from the G-strings game, where our sub 30% conversion ratio was more representative of how the team played.

My rankings were similar, the only major difference was that I had the Rams dropping out of the rankings...

I am glad this team is under the radar.

The NFC East is back to the glory days. The Eagles are back to full strength. The Cowboys are loaded. The Giants are now a matured veteran SuperBowl team. The Redskins are pretty much the dark horse of the NFC east. No one except us expects the Skins to do anything.

I still think that when Devin Thomas and Malcom Kelly thrive , this team will be a SuperBowl contender. Or if just one of these two become a legit receiver. Fred Davis is coming along fine. Kelly seems to be getting injured every time he steps on the field.
