It was a nice win, but those white on white uniforms are ugly as hell...
Kind of makes me miss coach Marty when he forced the guys to wear the dark jerseys on home games.

I don't care uniform combo the team wears, as long as they win in them.

Anyone who called Jason Taylor soft needs to man up now and admit how stupid that was

What a difference a week and a half makes. Geat game offensively, defensively. Horton may have won himself a job. Special teams sucked. Randle El needs to go on dancing with the stars-his punts returns were aweful, not to mention the fumble.
Overall this is a good sign, but we have had one terrible week and one really good week. Let's see how the team responds.
Zorn's play calling was much better and I loved the delay play to Portis for his 2nd TD.
Go SKins!!!

I couldn't help but notice the similarities between Campbell on the touchdown throw to Moss and the drill they ran in camp with coaches throwing pads at the QBs.
The Saint defender came in, put a hand right on Campbell, he shakes it off and his Moss in stride.
Maybe Zorn isn't so zany after all...
Great win.
also, I think Rock is making a great case for the Pro Bowl. I know he won't make it if Hester is healthy but Hester did go down today...

They won't, but that's fine with me. Hatters don't enjoy victories as much as non-hatters.

Come to think of it, the appropriate response is probably pity. What a shame to have to go through life like that. . .

Please stop calling them hatters. You'll upset a certain board poster.

Landry was pretty awesome too. Back to back defenses, batting away the ball. I've always liked him and I hope he is our next ST (never be replaced in our hearts). Horton is making a name for himself and Reed may be taking a back seat to Horton.

Take away the missed field goals, the fumbled punt, and the Bush punt return for a TD and then look at these stats.
Total Net yds 450 - 250
Penalties - yds 4 - 26 vs 5 - 55
Time of Poss 34:14 - 25:46
Total Turnovers 1 - 3
Passing 24/36 321 yds - 22/33 250 yds
Rushing yds 31 - 149 vs 19 - 55 yds
Without the mistakes to give them what they got, we DOMINATED this game .............. but still had to come back to win.
Good win and good game overall for the Skins. The mistakes are correctable thank goodness. We can be good if they can overcome them, and continue to put up those kind of numbers each week.
Hail!

True, and you know who that is/was.

Man, that was sweeeeeet!
Game balls go to...
First, I thought Zorn coached a hell of a game, he really did. The draw play Portis scored on was a perfect timed play call. The 4th down slant play to Moss at the end of the game was a gutsy call, I never saw that coming. Nice that Zorn had the confidence in #17 to make that play, it sealed the victory. And I'd add that we probably still haven't even seen 50% of the play book yet.
The blocking by the o-line was much improved. Not going to say Portis' comments earlier in the week had anything to do with that, but I'd say Buges got them fired up.
Portis and the run game were much better. Zorn called plays on the edge and got Portis outside quite often. A good mix inside and out. 149 total yards rushing with 96 of those and 2 TD's for Portis. Can't complain about that at all.
What a difference a week and a half made for JC. There's no question he was much improved today with 321 yds passing. He looked far more confident and made some nice throws when we needed them, especially in the 2nd half. Still would like to see the ball come out quicker on a few plays, but if this kind of improvement can come by week 2, confidence in the system should come quicker and JC is on the right path. Also gald JC didn't let the media frenzy get him down, he came out and played with confidence, a good trait for a starting QB.
Horton. Damn. This dude is a gamer. I wonder if this showing is enough to earn the starting gig. He was all over the place. The more he plays and becomes familiar with the defensive system, he will get even better. Scary thought for those that still like Doughty. And Moore is supposed to be the better player of the two rookie safeties. Another scary thought for Doughty. Horton impressed me quite a bit today. I think Moore backing up Landry and Doughty backing up Horton might be the right way to go. Doughty has never impressed the way Horton has in just a few games.
And yes, where are the Sheila's that said Taylor is soft? Taylor is still hurt, not yet 100% and put in a performance like that. And the same goes for those who said Blache couldn't get the job done. The defense played extremely well against a high powered offense.
