We finally put Chris Wilson in and he does what....? Sacks the QB, which neither JT or AC (half sack) could do last night.
Dear coaches: how about we rotate them in and out, fresh and rested and get some pressure and sacks. Wilson only gets better and better every time he's on the field.
Chris Wilson is a skilled and explosive pass-rushing defensive end. In his first NFL season (with Washington in 2007), he earned a roster spot during training camp and finished the season with 15 tackles (12 solo) and four sacks. Wilson originally entered the professional football ranks when he was drafted into the Canadian Football League by the British Columbia Lions in 2005. He spent two seasons with the Lions, earning a Grey Cup Championship in 2006.

They have been rotating. I saw 4 DEs (Wilson, Carter, Taylor, Evans) and 4 DTs (Golston, Alexander, Montgomery, Griffin) all registering tackles.

No Erasmus either. I agree and I'm so glad they kept Wilson over McMullen, even if it's hard to equate to the playing field. All I know is that one play paid off on a night when no one could get there. Taylor looks stout but he gave up on that Eli run and just like Carter can get completely run out of a run play or make a nice move to be there with the ball carrier. Just like pass rushing ability is good sometimes, I think pass rushers are very hit or miss against the run as well. Not having Daniels and Wynn now makes you appreciate that.

The emotion that gets wrapped in one game blows my mind. If you thought the Skinz would roll into New York (a division opponent no less) a walk with a win in the situation they were in, you crazy.

. Taylor looks stout but he gave up on that Eli run
Give the credit for Eli's TD to McIntosh for overpursuit.

He was stuck inbetween a rock and a hard place. If he doesn't sprint Eli beats him, if he sprints he's susceptible to a juke.
There was nothing he could do except maybe lunge for Eli with his arms spread. I would have liked to see more hustle from JT in his pursuit.

Was a bad angle by McIntosh.

Completely agree with this. Just an unfortunate play.

It was Jason Taylor's failure to keep containment that was mainly responsible for that td.

I guess that 300# lineman had nothing to do with it.

The lineman had nothing to do with him failing to keep containment. He kept his head down and didn't keep an eye on the qb.

1st real game with a new team, give the guy a break. He got blocked out when Eli split out of the pocket, he went in pursuit but he could've gone faster on the chase, that's the only thing wrong I saw in his side, Rocky couldn't decide wheather to wrap Eli up or go for the big hit, he came in too hot and too low, that's how Eli got away. Again this is the first game, give them some slack, the sky is not falling. I did notice though that as a whole, the "fierce" attitude we had when GW ran this D is gone.
