For those of you (like me) who are geographically challenged, and rely on the NFL Network for your preseason games, it looks like (according to my beautiful HD DVR) the NFLN has picked up the live feed for the Redskins-Jets game on Saturday night (7 p.m. kickoff). The game will also be replayed Sunday morning at 7 a.m. Can't find a link yet.

While I have the chance, I will predict that no matter the outcome, the headlines will read one of two ways:

If Favre does well and the Redskins defense stumbles- 'Farve Looks Sharp in Return'

If the Redskins play well and crush Favre into the dirt- 'Favre Rusty in Return to Field'

And if Favre gets sacked - "Favre hits the field with Jets"

This game will be the Favre-a-bowl. Be prepared to see a lot of Favre on the sideline and hear the announcers talk incessantly about Favre, Favre, Favre....

I wish I could patent "Brett Favre" because I would be a millionaire by Sunday morning.

Those who play the drinking game 'drink when you hear someone say Favre' will be in rough shape come Sunday morning.

They should just have Frank Caliendo doing his impression of Madden saying Bret Favre all game.

Brett Favre, Brett Favre, Brett Favre, Brett Favre, Brett Favre, Brett Favre........................infinity.

B-R-E-TT, BRETT, BRETT, BRETT.

If we do that, we will be passed-out drunk on the floor in the first 2 minutes and miss the rest of the game.

I am so sick of hearing about Bret Favre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care how much they talk about Favre - I can watch the Skins again here in Philly. I too checked with the DVR if the game would be on and lo and behold there it was.

Personal note for me. I love watching the preseason games this year because I record them and let my wife watch the Olympics, then when I am up in the middle of the night with the baby I can watch the game with the commercials - beautiful thing.

In my house, I own the TV. Luckily, I have two of them so the other half can go upstairs if she doesn't want to watch football. I have a need to watch games as they happen. It doesn't feel right if I watch it later than when the game came on.

The Surgeon General warns that holding babies during a game can lead to dropped babies (case in point when the Sox won the series in '04, I was up with my youngest son, and almost dropped him on the final out).

Hey I know there are some VA Beach people on this message board. Does anybody there know if the game will be on the local stations down there?

Going to be in the area this weekend. Thanks!

My recording of the games and watching later is only a preseason thing. Regular season I send the wife and kids out and watch - alone and content.

I told my wife that those 3 hours that the skins play are my time and I don't care what else happens, but I will be in front of the TV somewhere uninterrupted.

i'm a big follower of the jets and i'm pretty sure that pennington will start. he needs to have a good showing to get the faith back from his coaching staff. not sure though, i also heard somewhere that the jets were leaning towards the "new" guy, but his name escapes me at the moment.

Isn't Pennington with Miami now?

The "Big Tuna" drafted him with the Jets, and now he is in Miami, go figure.

I've never been impressed with Pennington. He's had what, one good season.

We should start a bet. Who will get hurt first this season, Pennington or Mcnabb?

On a side note. Anyone see that nice pass by Mark Brunell with the Saints vs Cards? Was very nice, though the could not get points once they were in the redzone. Suprising anyone?

Knowing the media attention and scrutiny this game is getting, I have a feeling the Jets are going to do everything possible to win this game.
