Redskins rookie sixth-round S Kareem Moore, now recovered from offseason knee surgeries, has been turning heads in training camp.
Washington Post beat writer Jason LaCanfora says Moore is "a heck of an athlete and has some of the attributes you want out of a ball-hawking centerfielder." Coach Jim Zorn also pointed out Moore's body control and called him a "tremendous athlete." He'll get a chance to play a substantial role in Saturday's game.

Looks like the Skins will have better depth in the secondary than everyone thought. I wish Tryon would shut his mouth an start playing better, he could really help us if Carlos or Springs goes down with an injury.

Depth isn't our problem. It's getting starter-quality players on the field that might be tricky.

so far so good.. I have only heard good things about this draft class so far.. I gotta say as it stands right now hats off to Cerrato .. although it is still very early .. its promising to see these young guys we drafted really showing up
Im starting to become a believer in Cerrato slowly but surely.. he was said to have a great track record with the 49er's when it came to the draft and hes finally showing his potential here

We won't really see anything until at least the 2nd 1/2 of the season...

They're both injured now.... Springs had strained achilles and Carlos is still rehabbing...

I am glad to hear this. This past draft seems to be the best for the Skins in 10 years or so. Well so far it seems that way. I hope this young man keeps working hard and becomes of starter quality.

The fact we have two young safeties who have shown something, Moore and Horton, is good news for the defense. In fact, watching these two battle it out for who is superior should be fun to watch

I think Horton is more in the mold of a strong safety. Moore on the other hand is more of a corner/free safety. Laron Landry has his spot locked down already. I definatley think there is room for both Moore and Horton on the Roster. They both can contribute in there own way.
I think Horton is better in run and blitz situations as saftey. Moore should be better in coverage.
Either way its about time we started to find late round gems again.

I think that horton could be the kind of safety that arculeta was supposed to be which is someone who can rush the quarterback and play against the run. I hope both players have a strong showing tonight and show that the hof game wasn't a fluke

So far, I think we've seen more good things from our late picks than our early 1's.

Doughty should make the roster. Horton should also make it. Moore may start out on the practice squad.

We will probably carry 5 safeties on the 53 man roster. My guess is that Moore & Horton both make that roster.

Speaking of Horton, why wasn't in the lineup against Buffalo? Was that because of the stomach problem he had earlier in the week?
