Sign & Cut, Sign & Cut - That's Just Pete Schmitt

(AP)- Justin Hamilton, a free safety who played at Virginia Tech and is a native of Clintwood in southwest Virginia, has been added to the Washington Redskins' roster.
The 6-foot-3, 222-pound Hamilton played three seasons for the Hokies at running back and wide receiver before moving to safety for his senior season.
He was a seventh-round draft choice of the Cleveland Browns in 2006. He had 15 tackles during his rookie season, but did not make the team in 2007 and did not play in the NFL last season.
The Redskins signed Hamilton during the off-season, then cut him on May 30.
Meantime, here today, gone tomorrow took on a whole new meaning for Pete Schmitt. Schmitt, a fullback/tight end, was signed by the Washington Redskins on Monday. He was released today to make room for Hamilton.

The Skins have released FB Pete Schmitt, but it was at his request They signed safety Justin Hamilton. Schmitt was here for just two days of practices after being re-signed Monday

Now, you can cancel and order your Hamilton jersey.
And then you can cancel that when they cut him in a couple of days.

From what I understand Schmitt left practice and walked off the field. My bet is, he simply realized he would not make the roster and maybe the who pro football thing wasn't working out so why put the energy forth.

sweighert has been cut and signed in very much the same way too has'nt he?
