I'd like to think "Nice shot!" but I can't.
That's 100 yards, 300 feet the ball travelled. There's no excuse for not screaming to your defensemen that you can't see the ball, just as any good hockey goalie does when he can't see the puck.

Wow. That was great. And the commentators are right, that goalie is going to face major embarrassment, ridicule and possible death when he returns to his home country.

It was just ridiculously awful positioning... on a penetrating ball like that, the keeper should be at the very top of his box ready to play the ball in any way that he can.
The ball bounces just on the edge of the outside of the box - if the goalie was where he was supposed to be, he would have easily blocked the ball. He could have probably played the ball with his feet if he'd have stepped a foot outside the box.
Awful goal.
I scored a similar goal when I was a kid from pretty deep inside my own half, and everyone thought it was a great goal - I thought it was just an awful read from the goalie - same as this play EXACTLY... ball bounced just before the box and he was in purgatory.
... it's hardly like ripping the net off the posts from 25 yards out on a half-volley. Those are the goals that players dream about.

The one about 2:30 in is just ridiculous.

It looked to me like he thought the player making the run was going to re-direct and he was trying to rush him. The ball was out of that players reach and bounced in. It was bad all around on him, and he knew it. You could see it in his face.
