Are you guys still sold on Sean Taylor? I watched him play last year, and I thought he was incredible. All I've heard recently is a bunch of negative talk about him showing up to the combine fat and out of shape. The same reports said he quit in the middle of his workout. Has anyone else heard those reports? If that's the case, I'm not sure I want him here.

that wouldn't sell well - if his stock drops we can trade down and get him...
But.. then again... another rumor
Find me an article about it so I can read it from an actual eyewitness...

This is the only bad press i found about Taylor's combine workout:
Sean Taylor, S: Disappointed with a 4.53 in the 40-yard dash on a fast grass surface and did only 11 reps. Was also a little sluggish in the position drills but claimed he had a tweaked hamstring. Taylor needs another workout to prove these struggles were a a fluke, but did not drop himself out of the top 10.

But you can't take everything from the combine...remeber last year Suggs had a bad combine and didn't he, i think came close if not won rookie of the year?

Jake Grove tweaked a hammy this year, but I bet teams will pick him earlier than most are calling for as a center... it will be interesting to see what happens to Taylor... a long time before the draft though...

Yeah Taylor didn't go to the combine those were his times from Miami's pro day. I've read some stuff about some scouts thinking that Miami's Pro day was a job interview and Taylor failed his. I thought he was awesome last year but if you can't get ready for your own pro day, or if you think your better than that, maybe we don't want him.
Of course, all of this could be those pre-draft lies and half-truths.

If he is there at #5 we gotta grab him - would look great in B&G smaching DALLAS.

Personally, I just love how a guy spends 4 years establishing himself as a football player and having all of the scouts goo and ga over him and then the stud's value drops because of a calisthenics workout? All the GMs gather round and say 'who cares how he played... look at him jump, look at him run, look at him lift weights.'
I'll still take Taylor any day of the week and I think that anybody who looks away from his football ability because he ran a 'slow 40' needs their football heads looking at.

couldn't agree more...well said BH, it's about football, not obstacle courses
I recall LaVar going through similar scrutiny.
