OK, nothing much to this story. It is the typical Danny bought something so now it is relevant news type thing. The interesting part is not that Danny bought a country awards show, but that Clinton Portis attended the show. There are several Redskins that I can envision listening to and enjoying country music but CP isn't one of them. So far I have narrowed it down to three possibilities. Feel free to add your own because this one confuses me.

1. CP is a country boy at heart
2. There is a clause in his contract to do publicity for Dan's projects
3. He is being punished

I'll go with:

One of Clinton's many personas is heavily into country or Dick Clark, or possibly both.

Portis likes fine chicks and...

Portis likes the spotlight.

He is representing.

Portis is a good "company man".

He is not one for going out to the strip club with Packman, so why not go and earn some brownie points in the process. Plus, chicks, and spotlight.
