dont know if any of you guys were affected by this. buutt i was. ripped the walls off both sides of my house on the 2nd floor. i'm looking for some pictures on the new's websites but i'm not havin much luck. i was in utah visiting some family at the time, and my parents were smart enough to go in the basement so no one was hurt, thank god. I mean it sucks, but insurence is really paying for everything damaged or lost. So everything will be fine. Plus we had a lot of help from all of our friends and neighbors. But the reason why i'm telling you this, is cuz i had a lil redskins shrine in front of my bed(they even mentioned it in the washington post). I had a darrell green bobble head from Mcdonalds, all of those medallions from burger king, Campbell jersey, hats, all kinds of stuff.. i was really worried because i thought i had lost all that stuff and i didnt know if i would be able to get them back. But when i get back from Utah and get to my house, i go straight to my room. and the wall was put back up but there was dry wall everywhere, insilation(sp?) everywhere. it was a wreck. but underneath all that, was every single peice of my lil shrine. nothing broke, not even the bobble head, and everything was there. i mean sure i had to dig under all the crap, but it was still there. i thought it was pretty amazing. just wanted to share that with yall

That's an amazing story. I am so glad your parents escaped without harm. Insurance can replace a lot of stuff, but it can't replace people. Now your shrine is battle tested. I hope our real players are able to survive everything piling on this year. Again, amazing story.

Glad to hear your "shrine" is intact. I know I had to call my parents that night and tell them to go into the basement. They live off of rt 17 close to Burton's automotive and when I heard the news report that a tornado was on the ground between hartwood and falmoth, I immediately called them. Luckily for them, the tornado missed them. I looked like the tornado sat right down in the middle of the neighborhood when I drove by but luckily no one was hurt.

That's amazing. I had like five of those bobbleheads and Jackson broke them all before the age of 4.

All Darrell Green.

Jackson was probably mad because Darrell asked for five dollars for each autograph.
Anyways.... glad to hear all the family is ok. I couldn't imagine my house being affected by a natural disaster like that. I know a lot of people were that night. That's an insane story about your shrine.

I don't know if everyone is aware of this, but the reason it's hard to find Green (and Monk) memorabelia is b/c they bought the rights to their Jersey/numbers. I was talking to a collectibles guy and asked about why there's not much of their stuff out there. He also said Green is extremely expensive to get into an autograph session. Green's charging $250 for a flat pc (Jersey/pic) and $275 for helmet autograph and he was only doing 100 pcs. The guy didn't know if this was personal profit or going to his charity. Just a little semi-off topic FYI.
Sorry for the hi-jacking, I thought it was interesting when I found out.
