Al Wilson, the soul singer and songwriter who had a number of 1970s hits including "Show and Tell," has died. He was 68.

Paul Davis, a singer and songwriter whose soft rock hit "I Go Crazy" stayed on the charts for months after its release in 1977, died Tuesday. He was 60.

The Singers / Songwriters era is not only figuratively dead, but is literally catching up to the figurative title.

One has to be a certain age to truly appreciate these people. Their songs were the best way to get a woman to do almost anything at one time.

I don't have an agenda. (6)
I have a prerogative. (11)
A prerogative is longer than an agenda.
In hindsight, I should have had an alterior motive. (14)
I was always hoping the woman had the agenda.
These songs didn't hurt the cause.
