That boy has vision and moves - power and speed - 34 carries for 170? Nice day!

Denvers line is good (nothing taken away), but Mr.Portis had some nice broken tackles and made a few guys miss.

If you want to really be impressed, watch his highlights against the Chiefs. 219 yards and 5 touchdowns in one game. Awesome.

One thing im worried about is Kearse, Portis, and Brunell all have injury problems.

and if i remeber correctly, they pulled him out for the ENTIRE fourth quarter. i think he did all that in just 3.

Ant...

If when you say C-Port broke a few tackles you mean, like a dozen a game, than your absolutely correct. The words sick, ill, and nasty don't even start to describe what he can do.

And yes he had 200+ and 5 td's in 3 quarters...

I was being modest (LOL). Trung Canidate couldn't "break wind" like Clinton Portis.

I agree with psuLaVar...can we say "injuries?" Also, both games you are talking about aren't against what I'd call "good" defenses. I mean really...the Chiefs and Raiders??? Their defenses were about as good as ours last year.

Portis' injury should be fine by the time camp starts, and Brunell will have Ramsey backing him up. Kearse does concern me though. I don't want to overpay for a bench warmer again(Fiore).

fiore wasn't even abench warmer. he was on IR, more like a couch potato.....

Champs... fact of the matter is that, even though those games were against good defenses, do you see Trung or anyone else on our roster terrorizing them like that. This is a mammoth upgrade in the backfield.

I may be wrong. but in Fiores contract (when he signed) injury was a concern. I thought he would only get paid (fully) if he performed, which he didn't. So didn't he make less money last year than he should have?

Portis did not have an injury his rookie year when he played 12 games and rushed for 1500 yards.

Face it, in the NFL it is very common for a RB to have an injury and miss a game or two.
Portis is durable...and did not have injuries like Betts (missed half the season).

Stop and think for a moment about almost every back in the NFL - Priest Holmes played injured, but other than that most teams had either cruddy backs, average backs or really good backs down for a couple, three weeks with injuries.

to add to that, portis was held out because denver knew they'd need him in the playoffs. he could have played those last two weeks of the season.
