He said that he is looking for a guy that they can get cheap and have him come in and prove himself, then get paid. Thats what I want to hear.

I've heard early Oct for Rogers. I don't see CB as being among our 4 biggest needs. I see tham as WR, DE, OL depth, & S depth.

Then I guess it's good we have more than 4 picks this year.

We already have Sean Springs, we don't need any more old schoolers...

At this point, I think Eubanks is ahead of him on the depth chart since it was Eubanks who was activated for part of last season. The only advantage I see that Westbrook has is size. He's listed as 194# to Eubanks 173#. Eubanks is a good return man as well.
During the course of his collegiate career at Salisbury, he was named first-team All-Atlantic Central Football Conference twice as a cornerback...A senior in 2006, Westbrook played in 11 games at both cornerback and free safety...On the season, he finished with 33 tackles (27 solo) 3.5 tackles for loss and five interceptions...He also returned kicks, taking one back 83 yards for a touchdown on Oct. 14...Named co-ACFC Special Teams Player of the Week thanks to that performance...On the season, he returned 22 kickoffs for 506 yards and one touchdown...As a junior in 2005, he played in 11 games totaling 49 tackles (35 solo), four tackles for loss and five interceptions...He also returned 30 kickoffs for 845 yards, which earned him second-team all-conference as a return specialist...As a sophomore in 2004, he racked up 56 tackles (32 solo), four tackles for loss, eight interceptions and one fumble recovery...He returned one interception 80 yards for a touchdown against Buffalo State...He also returned 20 punts for 288 yards and two touchdowns, which earned him first-team all-conference honors as a return specialist...He attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Maryland
Even though he played at a Division III school, Westbrook was a damn good corner and has excellent speed. He made a good impression last year in camp.

I have to think the only reason Eubanks was promoted from the practice squad over Westbrook is because Eubanks had been here for a year longer and was more familiar with the system. Westbrook was a rookie. I'm not real high on Eubanks. He's not starter quality and was getting beat on a regular basis. I actually believe even Torrence has better cover skills than Eubanks. I seriously hope Westbrook can out perform both in camp this year. I don't expect Westbrook to become a starter immediately, but hopefully a solid back-up that can get a chance to make a name for himself. Even though he played at a Division III school, Westbrook was a damn good corner and has excellent speed. He made a good impression last year in camp.

This has to be accurate. I think they see a ton of talent and potential in this young man, and see him as a worthwhile project. His pedegree doesn't hurt him any, either.

This is why I believe he gets special attention. Brian is no average Joe...

What special attention? Again, even though he played at Salisbury, he was impressive, nonetheless. I don't think the Skins have given him any special attention, as it's apparent he'll have to earn a roster spot.

No one can convince me that a brother's ability is going to affect how you judge a player - the true value or potential value of a player can only be measured by what he potentially offers to your particular team - not what his brother or blood relative does or has done.
case in point is the Manning brothers - talk about talent and no talent
