The Philadelphia Eagles today announced on Thursday that they have released DE Jevon Kearse.

Kearse played in 45 regular-season games for the Eagles since 2004 and recorded 133 tackles and 22 sacks.

Kearse, who has battled injuries throughout his career, was limited to action in just 16 games over the past two seasons.

The 6-4, 265-pound Kearse spent the first five years of his career with the Tennessee Titans.

Glad to see the Eagles take one on the chin.

He signed a $66 million dollar contract in 2004 (8 years) with a $16 million signing bonus.

And no, we don't need to sign him.

5 years ago he would have been a great (and probably even more expensive than $66 million) signing but now he probably would just as productive as Lloyd was with us but because of injuries.

Hmmm....

It depends on what kind of money he is asking for. If he wants a big payday which I am sure he wants I say no way Jose!
