I cannot see him leading this team to a better record than 4-12.
...and I'm supposed to be the positive guy on this board.
I apologize for the gloom outlook, but I just can't see anything right happening with this team next year.

I think he will get 3 years - if Danny has learned anything about being an owner.
So that is a "walking a tightrope" prediction.

Sorry this just seems like a stop-gap hire. I believe it's very possible we will have a new coach next...I hope I'm wrong!!

Fight the Demons DE.
Hope springs eternal - maybe they will move camp back to Frostburg.

I wouldn't be the least bit shocked to seem him get canned at the end of December and then we start the Cowher era.

Since Zornzilla was hired by default, I'll give him 2 years tops if he doesn't produce.

I picked 4 or more because Jim Zorn is going to lead the team to a Superbowl win this year! We will beat the Pats 40-21 and put a 4th Lombardi in the trophy case, period.
You might ask what logic I base that on, and I would answer: I'm not using any. Which means that I'm just following the methods of the Skins' front office in making decisions. History will repeat itself, we will win another title right after the Giants win theirs, as it was in 87 and 91. They may have looked foolish as they bumbled and stumbled their way in this process, but they have backed into the best decision that will bring VICTORY!!!
And I'm going to believe that until it happens or the facts prove me wrong. I ain't got nothin else to do

The team had a record of 9 - 7 last season. It will take a while to undo the work done by Joe. This team is still a TEAM.
So, the first year will not be a disaster. I am predicting a 7 - 9 season, which considering it a first year and previous records it will not be an unforgivable disaster.
But as the chemistry of the team changes, a new West Coast system is put in place and the Front Office has its hand in player acquisition, the second and last season will be 6 - 10. Not a disaster, just enough mediocrity to exhaust the patience of Danny the Clown and his Machiavellian sidekick.
Zorn will learn from the experience and flourish as a winner elsewhere after that.

This coaching hire demands patience from the owner and fans. How likely that we get it from either?
Plus Zorn is going to be coaching in possibly the toughest division in football. Good luck, man!
If Zorn is here less than three years though, how can Snyder possibly save face? He'll be a complete joke.

You cannot see God, but you still believe in his leadership. Correct? My point is to have faith when the outlook is bleak.

I have still yet to see any player reactions to the Zorn hiring, but I think this team and its success hinges on if they buy into Zorn's system and Zorn as a head coach.
While I think Zorn is an unorthodox pick as a head coach, I really hope Danny gives him a few years to see what he can do.

First, now that Zorn is their coach, no player will come out publicly against the hire. Just like no player would advocate firing Williams while he was still their boss, regardless of how they really feel.
Before the Pro Bowl and after Zorn was introduced, the NFLN interviewed

ey and Samuels at the game.

ey said he had dinner with the Hassleback's and they said we were getting a good one. Samuels said there is already leadership in the locker room, instilled by Gibbs, and both

ey and Samuels said that although surprised, believe Zorn will be a good coach and plan to support him.
Again, even if they don't think that, they're not going to say it publicly. I think the team will get behind him though and we already have some talented players on this team. So I don't believe the outlook is as dismal as some might suggest. I hope Dan is patient and gives Zorn at least 4 years.

OMG....seriously.....

Please stop. Really. Let's not even go down that road.
Zorn = God now?!?! If you can trust God, you must trust Zorn! What in the world..

I think it's pretty clear he is not making that analogy

We're gonna be as good as last year, except we're going to finish games. I predict 11-5, deep playoff run, maybe Superbowl. I've already eaten my Zornflakes, lets see what he can do.

Zorn may be in a bad situation... owners need to be patient with first timers in order to let them figure out what works and what doesn't... that takes time... I think even Spuier would've figured what works eventually (maybe)...
Likely though Zorn will only last until someone like Cowher is ready to come back...

I like your optimism. It's hard to tell what he can or cannot do, but at least he has a team that is full of "potential" (yes the P word again) This team was a playoff contender, and competitive as it was handed to him. We are on the verge of greatness, and if half of everything written about Zorn holds true, then we are in good shape. Our guys are no strangers to change, they will adapt and they will overcome. If it is true that he is an efficiency expert, then we are in great shape, we all know we can get to the green Zone, we just can't punch it in. He can change that. The bad side is that we lost GW, I have always liked him, how he talks in 3rd person when adressing himself, hehe, he was the identity of the defense, fierce, hard hitting, and how he made us respectable on that side of the ball. I'm almost anxious to see what type of product Blache puts on the field.

No idea how long Zorn will last. With Snyder and Vinny you never know. However, if we go 6-10, or worse, next season and Cowher is available, will Danny be able to resist??
