Do you really see this guy as our next coach?? I think he needs to ripen up just a little bit. Thoughts?

Did you ever see pictures of Gibbs when he took over the Skins? He didn't look "weathered", like he did once he left.

If this guy is any good, he deserves a look and (gulp) a shot.

What will be involved here? Do we get everyone or just the starters? Has any team ever let their offensive group go to another team and do they have to keep our players or can they just get new guys?

Does everyone think that you just repeat the offensive success or even stand a good chance of success by getting in an offensive co-ordinator as your HC? - will Belicheat be coming too - he was probably more responsible for orchestrating the plays than the co-ordinator?

Thats what most of the 'fans' (and I use the term lightly) would use as criteria to select the new Head Coach.

we are not going to talk to this guy, the Reskins front office will. The speculation that people go into is insane. LMFAO

Has nothing to do with rippening up. Can he coach? Does he get along with Mr Snyder and Mr Cerrato? These are the things that will be used (if not should be used) to determine if he is the new HC of the Washington Redskins. Maybe if you yell hard enough Mr Snyder will hear you.

I don't see the harm in interviewing him....especially given some of the names that have already gotten one or more interviews here.

The interview process would allow the "braintrust" (and I use that term lightly) to ascertain just how much influence this guy has had on the construction and orchestration of the Patriots' operation.

IF (a big if) he blows everyone away during an interview, meshes well with the staff that's in place, and has a well-developed plan for the future, I don't see how he's a worse choice than a retread like Fassel.

As fans, we'll all just have to wait and see...and listen to mindless media drivel and speculation in the meantime....

This guy did not mold NE's offense. He calls the plays that Billichek (sp?) designed. He is in the same situation that Norv Turner was with Dallas. There are so many future HoF players on NE's offense that anyone with a knowledge of football could run the offense. Consider Turner, he is a good offense guy but he has never reached the same level of excellence that he did in Dallas.

This guy did not mold NE's offense. He calls the plays that Billichek (sp?) designed.

Belichick is a defensive guy so I highly doubt that he is the one that designed their offense. The only offensive coaching that he has done was in the 70's when he coached wide receivers and tight ends. Since then he has been a defensive assistant and coordinator.

By the same token, consider Joe Gibbs. He was a "good offensive guy" calling the plays that Don Coryell designed, yet he went on to far surpass his mentor in the NFL coaching pantheon.

By no means am I saying that this guy is the next Joe Gibbs, but the Redskins organization would be stupid to not do their due diligence and find out if he has anything near that kind of potential.

Last I checked, an interview doesn't cost anything. If the kid bombs his interview or turns out to not have a detailed future plan, you haven't lost anything in the meantime.....I seriously doubt that anyone else is beating down Fassell's door right now

You have a valid point. I bow to your logic.

If I could have one guy from the Patriots it wouldn't be their 19 year old O-coordinator. It would be Brady, followed closely by Bellicheat. I would take them in that order just to prove to the NFL that most of NE's success has to do with Brady and not Mr. Personality.

Don't get me wrong, I think Bellicheat is the best HC coaching right now, but he isn't Lombardi or Paul Brown (for those of you that don't know how good Paul Brown was, you owe it to yourself to check it out).

I would put Mr. Cutoff in there with Walsh and Gibbs.

But NE's success is 60% #12.
