How about make moves that make sense? Perhaps hiring a head coach before the OC and DC? No, that would make too much sense (unless he already had guaranteed the job to someone).

I wont speak for everyone else, but my problem is the complete lack of class he has shown while making this decision, notably in the case of G. Williams. I can live with not having him come back to be the HC. but the way he has conducted this coaching search has been absurd. you don't leave someone who has coached this team for four seasons and was a critical piece in brining the team together after the murder of Sean Taylor, without even so much as a phone call to understand what is happening.
It seems like the 3rd time in Snyder's tenure as owner that he has thrown a huge wrench into the building process of this team (after the '99 season, after year 1 of Marty Ball). I fear that this process will keep repeating itself until he sells the team, and sadly that he has learned nothing from coach Gibbs.
My hope is, whoever is the next HC of this franchise, they are given more then two seasons to prove themselves, and their attitude and complicity to Snyder is not the deciding factor of their employment.

Scott Campbell, hmm.......
Sounds like an Al Davis move if you ask me. Never heard of the guy. Basically another puppet in the puppet show.

So you think it was smart to hire both coordinators before hiring a head coach?

My response had nothing to do with the head coaching search. My response had everything to do with the Snyder/Cerratto "dream team" that's going to be picking players now that the adult leadership (Gibbs) is gone. Remember the last time we didn't have adult leadership at Redskins Park? We had a team full of 35 year old who hit their prime 10 years ago (Carrier, Bruce Smith, Jeff George, Adrian Murrell, Eddie Murray, Andy Heck).
I guess the part that bothers me the most is that we don't just tweak the team we already have....we routinely blow the whole thing up. We went from a ball control coach (Schottenheimer) to a Fun n' Gun coach (Spurrier) to a ball control coach (Gibbs) to a West Coast Offensive Coordinator (Zorn). These teams require distinctly different personnel. Something that I'm sure the "Dream Team" doesn't understand. Remember when we brought in Spurrier and he wanted the "talent" necessary to run the Fun n' Gun (also known as the Duck n' Chuck)? I think we still are carrying Trung Candidate as dead cap space. I think you can find most of the "talent" from this offensive unit parking cars these days.

Be kind on the kid above guys. He is very likely a young fan with less than 10 years of painful memories to recount.
Sgraham, go through the threads. Try the Blogs. Try Washington Redskins 101 for beginners. Better yet and let me save you some time: OVER A DECADE of mediocrity which was just BEGINNING to be corrected to create a TEAM WITH SPIRIT after four years of hard work by Joe Gibbs.
We are back to square one kid. Enjoy.

Who knows if the coach has been selected or not.

Saying the Skins did hire a new head coach, what benefit does it serve to wait before making the announcement?
