Anybody else watching this on NBC?

I loved it as a young kid and it's awesome that it's back on T.V.

This time around it's hosted by Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali. There are several new events and there are some that are based around water.

It's a somewhat different format from the show in the late 80's and early 90's but overall it's still really awesome. This is my new favorite show this spring.

Whatcha gonna do, brother, when American Gladiators runs wild on you!?

It was OK, I thought it was going to be alot better! I liked the old Gladiators & the Red, White & Blue uniforms better. Nitro, Storm, Turbo, Ice.....those were the days.

I watched it today, and I'm happy to say that I wasn't old enough to have experienced it the first time around... That was a horrible show with a bunch of steroid freaks who can't play other sports. Heck, the guy in the joust kept DQing because he can't keep his balance. The women gladiators were put to shame by the contestants and Hulkamania should never host a TV show...

Well obviously nothing can be better than the original but it's not that bad for a re-make.

I thought it was funny when the ref gave that one contestant crap for punching and "giving him the business."

American Gladiators was a great Saturday morning show, but it will never be a good prime-time show. It needs to be slightly tacky (with over-the-top red/white/blue schemes and steroid freaks) and surrounded by cereal commercials for the aesthetic to “work.” I don’t ever see it making ground with a slick, dark, and sleek context and hosted by those two jokes. The WGA strike is the only reason this thing is around. I would love to see American Gladiators make a come back on Saturday morning or possibly get a slot alongside of Ninja Warrior on the G4 channel. Until then, who cares.

I gotta admit, I enjoyed it.

I liked the premise of competing to be a Gladiator next year.

I'd say it was at least as good, if not a little better than the original. I watched one of the originals a couple weeks ago.

Is it something I will watch faithfully every week? Probably not, but for the time being, it's alright.

I thought it was worth watching. I DVR it becaues there was a game on Sunday. I didn't know it came on monday. But my DVR recorded it.

Yeah, That was funny as crap when the ref and to get on the guy for punching. I'll tell you after he had talked crap to that Wolf guy, I was watching to see the two pair up later.

That one guy did suck at the joust. Maybe they haven't practed enough.
Some stuff I thought was a bit cheezy. Like the wolf guy. A bit over the top IMO. Some one thought it to be good for TV i guess. I think it would be better if they didn't do that With the characters and all.

Then you could tell that the people on the show were told they have to say stupid sayings to sound tough. That is also dumb.

It should be more about them as people and the Gladiators also shoud just be people not "wolf".

But still I will be watching. At least for now.

I loved it growing up. And I think it still appeals to kids. Its too over the top IMO to be any searious competition for most people.

Its kid of like wrestling. Except there is real people and a competition envolved. I loved wrestling as a kid. But they have gotten over the top IMO and have stopped trying to be kid friendly. Watching "Jake the Snake","the junk yard dawg" and "the Hulk" was great for a 6 year old.

That's Gina Carano

Cage fighter, a very good one, she loves the ground and pound, she is insanely famous @ prideFC.

Kickboxer, she is the champ from what I know.. she went to thailand, took on the champ and brought the belt back. There was a show last year called Fight Girls, she was one of the coaches...

There are a couple youTube Vids on her fights, this girl can kick arse, seriously...
