Fox Sports ranks the playoff QBs who can best handle the pressure of the post-season. In order they are:

1. New England - Brady
2. Indianapolis - Manning
3. Green Bay - Favre
4. Jacksonville - Garrard
5. Pittsburgh - Roethlisberger
6. Dallas - Romo
7. Seattle - Hasselbeck
8. Washington - Collins
9. Tampa Bay - Garcia
10. San Diego - Rivers
11. New York - Manning
12. Tennessee - Young

Garrad does not have enough experience yet to merit such a high ranking. Jacksonville has beaten San Diego and Tennessee (once), but lost 2x to Indy. They've played no other strong opponents.

Gimme a break on Tony (Jessica Simpson) Romo at No. 6.

Based on the the last four week's perfomance, which arguably have been playoff (must win) games for the Skins, I'd have ranked TC easily higher than Romo, and higher than Hasselbeck too.

Your going to rate what's his name (that journeyman) over Hass, and your counting the last four games? How many playoff games has Collins won? How many has he even played? I'm surprised Collins is ahead of anybody since he's never even played in a big game. Come on, you guys have won superbowls, don't tell me that the Dallas game was big. Big means sudden death for both teams. You can't even call the minnesota game sudden death for both teams. Your better than us in some areas, but don't even attempt to put Collins in the same category as Hass. The only reason Hass isn't listed higher is because of the typical east coast bias. Hass should take it as a compliment that he is the highest ranked QB west of the mississipi.

Clearly, you have no understanding of the meaning of this rivalry. Why would you? You have no equivalent history. Not a knock... just the fact. ANY game between ttiT and Washington is a big game. The opportunity to humiliate them makes it so. Make no mistake... Dallas WAS humiliated... they won't admit it, but that beating has eaten a hole through their belly. And, it will have had a hugely motivating effect on the Redskins.

The best part of the game Saturday will be if at around 8:00PM we can start to chant "WE WANT DALLAS!!!"

If not, well, life just sucks for us, huh?

oh yeah... that's the clutch guy who couldn't handle an extra point snap last year. His 0-1 record is stellar in the playoffs. I should say anyone West of the Central time zone.

You sound pretty salty about it Hawks Fan, but I would agree that Hasselbeck should be ranked higher, esp. in the case of Garrard since he hasn't won a playoff game yet. My list for this post season would be:

Brady - won it all thrice
P Manning - won it all
Favre - won it all and been to the show twice
Hasselbeck - been to the show
Roethlisberger - won it all
Garcia - not the first time to the dance
E Manning - been three times, gettin better
Collins - seen it plenty, first time to do it
Romo - got a taste last year, but play is off
Young - injury to himself and Roydell may cancel the party
Rivers- just don't see it from him at this point, LT will have to save his bacon

That looks much better. I would probably switch Favre around with P. Manning. But the rest looks pretty good.

Hasselbeck should be higher ranked than Garrard and Romo, but not ahead of Garcia.

Collins has been under nothing but pressure but like Garrard hasn't had any post season pressure to speak off.

I understand it's a big rivalry, but I watched the game. Dallas may have played their starters, but they could have cared less about that game. The Giants played their hearts out againts the Pats, but I wouldn't say that Dallas played that hard. As a matter of fact the seahawks played most of their starters against the Falcons, but mentally they might as well have stayed home and focused on this game.

The premise of the article is foolish, really. Only 6 of the 12 have demonstrated a capacity for post season guts. The rest are all too new or just haven't had an opportunity. Really... how do you rank any QB with no PS experience, no matter how long in the league? How about Romo? In his only shot, he choked and cost his team the game. How does he get ranked above anyone? Even those who have never played a post-season down have not cost their team a game.

You are sorely mistaken. Dallas may not have cared whether they won or lost, but I guarantee you, the last thing they wanted to do was get blown out. It was mandatory that their starters on offense move the ball and score. It was mandatory that their starters on defense make the 'skins punt a few times. Oh, no... the last thing they wanted to do was show the Redskins how pathetic they are... especially since they may well meet them again in a week...

I doubt they wanted to get blown out just as they would have liked to have won, but liking to win and doing everything you can to win is often the difference between being in a game and being blown out.

They may not have done everything to win but they would have loved to have kept the Skins out of the post season. They would never have brought Romo and the offense back on the field right before the half if they weren't trying to win or at the least trying to get back into the game. ttiT is just like the Skins when they meet they forget the names of the other 30 teams in the league. The forget about how bad/good they been prior to their games. Keeping Washington out of the post season was mentioned a few time from ttiT

Brady has ice in his veins.
Peyton has incredible talent.
Favre has seen and done it all.
Roethlisberger has done it, and very early in his career.
Collins has maturity, poise and confidence, despite no playoff experience.
Hasselbeck has been to the show, played OK, and lost to Roethlisberger.
Garcia has played well in big games, most of the time.
Eli palyed well last week, until the late pick.
Garrard has good stats in regular season.
Romo - Carrie and Jessica, and no further comment.
Rivers plays on a good team with a great RB, but Brees was better.
Young still has much to prove

This is one of the most meaningless rankings I've ever heard of.

I actually think that Garrard is ranked properly. Not only does he have the best running game out of all the playoff teams, but he is also not really asked to win the game for the Jags. An argument could be made that he is really asked to do the least out of all of the qb's in their respective offenses. On top of that he makes good decisions and he doesn't make mistakes. The situation that he is in reminds me of Big Ben's situation the year the Steelers won the Super Bowl.
