In can see it now. If Gibbs wants TC to start, he will say, "Well, we didn't think JC was completely 100% and we don't want him to go, if he not 100%". Followed by a locker room interview of JC who says "I feel fine, I might not be 100%, but I feel like I could play.

Or if JC will start, and we will see JG saying, 1(if we win) "Campbell is our guy" or 2(if we lose) "As head coach I take the blame for this Loss, I think Jason played well(even if throws 5 Ints).

No he doesn't. I think Collins is the man for the rest of the season. We would not be in the playoffs if Campbell was playing. I think Campbell is the future and needs to take more notes and get used to the offensive system. To me, Collins knows the system better than Campbell and makes decisions quicker because he knows where the receivers are going to be. The game is too fast for Campbell right now.

lol...you should be the Skins spokesperson. That is exactly what he will say.

Jason will not play unless TC goes down. Joe has already said that Collons will be his starter in the playoffs. Joe wants an experienced QB for the playoffs. See the '87 situation where he pulled Jay Schroeder for Doug Williams.

Good one! Now that I've stopped laughing I'll be serious and say that Campbell hasn't really practiced yet. He's done some soft toss but he has not practiced. Was he even active for the Cowboys??

Campbell should sit and recover for the rest of the season.

Right now, it looks as if Sanders and Gibbs feel safe opening the offense with Collins. That makes sense, because Campbell is still learning the pro game, and Saunders offense.

If Collins went down, I (coach of the keyboard ) would want Brunell. No, I don't think Brunell's arm is great, but he has experience with the offense, and he is a tough veteran.

Campbell is the future, but I wouldn't want to risk The Kid when his knee is still healing. As Campbell, himself, put it, he's not 100%, but he could have played. That tells me that another hit to the knee would be disastrous. Campbell would never say he was too hurt to play -- that's not the way NFL players put it unless they are in the hospital. The attitude itself says Campbell is a fine guy, but I doubt that Gibbs would risk him.

Brunell, sad to say, is in his last year...I think. He seems like the best alternative to Collins, although, having watched all four Collins games, I'm not sure there really is an alternative.

(Of course, as I said before, there are reports that Mark Rypien has been taking an accelerated regimen of "Roger Clemens age-reversing" drugs. )

Redskins.com currently lists Campbell as OUT for this week's game.

Dude... whether he CAN play or not, he is going to sit... won't be active, won't suit up.

1: He is the future QB... they will not risk him. He has some badly stretched ligaments. The least instability risks a more serious injury.

2: Besides... Collins is lighting it up as Campbell never has... not even a single pick in 4 games!

Don't agree with you about Campbell giving us the best chance to win. Collins has gotten us there and deserves to finish it out. Campbell needs to rest his knee for next year.

Collins understands the offense better. Did yu see the last touchdown pass to Moss? There was a shot from behind Collins showing Moss going down field. Collins threw the ball to a spot that Moss had not even started towards yet. And when Moss broke, bingo....touchdown.

No. He doesn't. Collins' has a QB rating of 106, 2nd best to Brady in the NFL. If we hadn't played in evil wind in NY, he'd probably have the highest rating in the NFL. To bench him now would be not only wrong, but also wierd.

Campbell is the future. With Collins as old as he is, you do not want to mess with the Campbell situation at all.

You guys are absolutely insane to thing about benching a hot QB.

Collins may be 36, but he only has about two seasons of football wear and tear on him!

Everyone keeps talking about how Campbell is the future. That may or may not be true. Who knows? He may suffer a career ending injury the next time he takes the field. I hope that doesn't happen, but that is the reality of playing in this game. Remember Joe Theissman?

Collins' success should put to rest any doubts about the viability of Saunders' scheme. Campell's struggles and Collins' success proves: raw talent alone is not enough, and the lack of raw talent can be overcome if the quarterback is smart and believes in the scheme. The sky is the limit if Jason eventually masters and believes in the Saunders philosophy. I hope Jason studies hard in the off season and comes back hungry next year.

But in the end I am not going to get hung up on potential. Jay Shroeder had great potential, but in the end it was not meant to be. Heath Shuler had great potential but it was not meant to be. Patrick Ramsey had potential, but it was not meant to be.

You cannot always be fixated on the future. You have to go with what gives you the best chance to win now.

Are you serious? Collins has led this team to where we are right now, so why mess with a good thing? Let JC get completely healed for next season while Collins takes us where we need to go this year.

And like I said, AS LONG AS TC IS PLAYING LIKE HE IS NOW, whether that's the rest of this season, all of next season, the next two seasons, whatever, as long as we're winning with him, you keep playing him. You don't stop doing something that is successful. That would be stupid. Campbell is young yet and if he has to play second fiddle to TC while he helps the team win a Superbowl or two, then so be it.

The name of this thread asks a question the answer to which is "No."

Campbell is great and as sson as todd collins makes a mistake jason should come back and vice versa we have two quarterbacks that could lead this team anywhere and using either quarter back we will be successful because portics and moss are playing so well that they will make the qb look better.

I predict that we will not see Campbell again during the playoffs - IF we need to change, it will be to Brunell - Campbell's knee is not going to be strong enough and I want him to be the best he can be for 2008

You're funny. We all agree Campbell is the future, but this year, this playoff run, belongs to Collins. He has brought this team from the brink of elimination, Gibbs knows this and the players know this, Campbell had the first 12 games or so to get this team to play at the level they are at now and couldn't do it, Campbell realizes this aswell. Collins most likely will get a big free agent contract to a team in need of a qb, he may be too expensive for us to keep.

Its funny when a QB leads a team to the playoffs.....and his hot....people act like he is the best thing since slice bread. Jeff garcia last year......if collins was that good how come he has been a Backup all of his career lol.
