What do we do about our starting QB???

If we win against Dallas...Who's staring in the playoffs?

Reports say Campbell is a week away.

My vote is for Collins. We should put Campbell on IR. Starting him in the playoffs after this run could be devistating if he loses

Right now we should just worry about GETTING into the playoffs.

But I agree, start Collins. He's looking great out there!

I think you go with the hot hand. We all know JC is the future. Nothing will change there. Collins has the hot hand and has shown he deserves the opportunity.

So why not put him on IR. Is the coaching staff thinking something different?

I agree. Collins is not costing any games. To play devils advocate, look at the games we lost. What do we do had Collins been in there.....Just stirring the pot folks.

I don't know. Maybe they feel like JC coming of injury and rusty would be a better #2 than MB04.

So do I.

I also like ARE and Portis ahead of MB04

JC we wont win the superbowl this year but JC has to get a playoff experience and show hoe he is in big games.Collins has done well and better yet well teach JC alot more now in being very confident.

Um I start Jason. Todd has been efficient and is doing what a real quality backup QB should; problem is he is a backup and eventually will show his colors; lets hope its not next week but as soon as JC can play we have to start him because he is better than Collins.

Well Portis-Skins, its more about showing JC how to execute the offense. Not so much confidence based. I think that JC wants to make plays by himself. After seeing Jc run it vs. Collins, I see how the offense works. Throw to where guys are supposed to be and I'll be damed, they are. Run a decent amount of screen plays, and it works. JC is just a little jitery so it works against him. I think if we see the same progression next year as he made this past offseason, we are in luck.

no one is doubting Jason is better, but Collins is so much more efficient right now. All of our receivers are now getting involved because the ball isn't 10 yards over their head. This is the best the offense has looked as a unit all year.

yes it has. I am excited to see JC next year though.

Running this offense with someone who knows the offence like Collins, shows me that JC is so far away from knowing this scheme. He needs to get to camp in February with Moss, portis and Cooley like Manning does every year with his receivers.

he needs to get in with ARE, Moss, Thrash, Lloyd (if he's here), and whoever else is on the roster.

On the postgame, Jacoby suggests that Gibbs sticks with Collins through the playoffs if we make it.

The way Gibbs likes veteran QB's I'm sure he will

Oh please JC is a weapon and its not like Collins has been perfect how many snaps has he fumbled? I mean if you think the reason we've won the last three is Todd Collins you are stretching it; I think its definately positive that Todd has come in and shown everyone what it looks like when a qb has been in a system for more than a year but that still doesn't make him Jason Campbell, is TC 3-0 yes, does he deserve credit yes, but has he earned the starting spot? I don't think so. I trust Gibbs to make the right choice; what a wonderfull problem to have.

if it is working, why mess with it...stay with the hot hand

Oh, please. Collins is clearly a better QB. Campbell has the potential, and Gibbs has suffered insults from pseudo-fans because he has started Campbell for the last year. No other way for Campbell to learn to play. It will pay off in the future.

However, it appears that the Redskins would have won another three our four games this year if Collins had started.

It is not a question of who has a cannon for an arm. It is a question of who can play better QB in the Saunders offense in the NFL right now.

By the way, both fumbled snaps were handed him badly. So be it.

If the worst anyone can say about Collins is that Rabach bungled a couple of snaps to him, then we have hit goofy-land.

The only reason I see not putting JC on IR is in case Collins get hurt he comes in as backup. Who would like to see Brunell come in as backup?

HTTR

Ikester

I'm seeing plays run that I haven't seen before because Collins has command of the offense. Imagine how good JC can be if we can keep the entire staff together.

Wow lets not forget that JC has given away his share of fumbles too. I don't think anyone here is saying JC isn't good or that Collins will start next year, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. Collins is throwing the ball to a spot and the receivers are there. However I get a lump in my throat any time Collins can't find a receiver, thats where JC's natrual talent comes in, he can either make a play with his legs or sling a ball into a receiver a la Brett Favre. Give JC another year in this system, after seeing how Collins runs this offense JC should have a better idea of how to run it.

If we take Collins to Seattle in a playoff game it won't matter how much he knows the offense; what he is ...is savy, JC is talented, todd's talent is not there what I mean by that is let's say we get behind or the game is on the line in the 4th does anyone here feel more comfortable with it all on the shoulders of todd collins then Jason, come on people TC has won 3 and probably will get 4 but who's to say Jason would not have? In the playoffs on the road if Jason is 100% on the sideline we would be moronic not to let the kid do his thang.

Collins deserves to be the starter this year.

Campbell can wait until next year. Heck he didnt win the big ones when we needed him.
